Missions

Somehow taking a bike ride has become synonymous with getting a treat at Cup of Yo!
"Daddy hold the chair while I climb up the tree please!"
 Monday
Madi made a hedgehog pencil holder in her art class at school.
 My favorite girl!
 Tuesday
 Wednesday
Madi goes to Music & Missions at church each Wednesday night.
They learn about how to serve missions in our own town.
So this past week we met at a nursing home to sing for the people.
Madi read scriptures, sang an Amazing Grace duet and played Jesus Loves Me on the piano.
Everyone's face was lit up watching the kids.
So thankful Madi has these girls as friends!
Thursday - we weren't completely dressed until we got our pizza purse.
Thursday we decided to skip swim and go for a long walk.  It was so nice outside.
They continue to crack me up how they automatically pile on one another each night.
 Friday
We were presenting to South Plain College students so we needed a head shot.
We decided to go for an informal selfie!  :)  I love the people I work with!

Up in Boston!

Saturday night puppy piles continue . . .
Biscuit is making herself at home.  :)
I headed to Boston Sunday after church.
Monday
Met with the president of Endicott College, Dr. Wylie in this beautiful old building.

 View from his office.

Our hotel was also on the water so we walked over after our meeting.

I collected a mermaid's purse, seashell and some sea glass for Madi.
Obligatory beach picture sent to family.
My group of inspectors for this trip.
 Tuesday
These were my drives to some of the schools I visited.
It was be a forest and then a school would pop out!
 Wednesday
Missing these two a lot by Wednesday night!
 Thursday
We continue to Facetime each morning over breakfast.  Madi's had a little cough so her Daddy has been making her hot lemon tea.
 If Friday had a face . . .

I got home after midnight so it was technically Saturday but either way I was so thankful to be home even though I absolutely love the Boston area.

Spring Break - Ruidoso-Style!

Wednesday morning, Madi loaded up and headed to Ruidoso with her cousins.
They got to the cabin before Matt and I so they sent us pictures of all the fun things . . .

Definitely our child - enjoying one of the 3 patios!
Aunt Shelle held them off as long as she could so the second we arrived they jumped in the hot tub!
 We loved our cabin!
Thursday morning I was getting ready and saw something moving in the mirror behind me . . . tons of deer were right out front!
Matt made breakfast and coffee for everyone each morning!
We had riveting games of Clue! and Phase 10! to keep us entertained!
We got on our warm clothes so we could go tubing!  Here are the boys in their long johns!
 Bundled up!
 Ready to tube!
 One excited family!

 Taking a break . . .

Uncle Cody videoed me coming down the tallest hill . . .
 Another break . . .
Then we drove up the mountain.

The snow was too icy for beginner skiers so we opted for a gondola ride to the top of the mountain!
Cody's parents rode with the kids and we went together with Tripp.
 Beautiful view!
 Riding with my honey!

 Pictures on top!

Then it was time to come down.
We headed to Farley's for dinner because we were starving.  Madi ordered a root beer and was so happy when it came in a bottle!  It's the small things.
This popped up on my Timehop Friday morning from 6 years ago.
Had to catch this sweet moment between two brothers that are usually fighting!
Friday we went shopping first then met the guys and kids at the go-kart track.

 This was Tuck's concentrating face.
 Boats were next!
Sweet cousins!  I pray they always stay so close.
Mimi and Papa with the kids.  I loved that they wanted Madi in their picture.  She calls them her Mimi and Papa too.
Then they did the inside bumper cars and had a blast!

We had a picnic lunch then drove across the street to play at the park.
But all the kids wanted to do was play by the stream and climb on the rocks.

Madi could hardly wait to walk across this fallen tree.

All the kids made it across safely, thank goodness!  Aunt Shelle and I were ready to jump in if needed!
Always looking for a photo opportunity.

Friday night Uncle Cody stayed at the cabin with the kids since he wasn't feeling well and the rest of us went into to town to gamble a little.  We kept seeing deer everywhere we went.
Saturday morning as we were loading up to leave Madi and Maci got so close to the deer eating outside.

As we left I had to take a picture of the stairs since I want to have the memory of how much fun Madi and all the cousins had running up and down the stairs playing chase and all sorts of fun games.
On the way out of town we saw more deer just standing by the side of the road.  Madi said she wished we had those in Lubbock.  :)

On the way home we stopped in Roswell to see Grandma and Grandpa Heider and play with Aunt Erin, Uncle Cody and the boys for a few hours before heading home.
I'm so glad Uncle Cody and Aunt Shelle invited us along and I'm even more thankful Matt decided to come too even in the middle of tax-season.  He said it best "I won't look back in a few years and wish I would have worked this weekend!"  Truer words were never spoken.
