Obstacle Warrior Kids!

Last Saturday, we met Gracie, Johnny, Devyn and Jaxon at Obstacle Warrior Kids.
They had so much fun going through the course over and over.

Saturday was a much needed Sheridan's ice cream and family movie night. We watched Father of the Bride, my favorite childhood movie.
Sunday was church and girl scouts that afternoon.  She loved making slime!
 Monday
Tuesday - she wore her new "Will Swim for Pizza" shirt.  :)
Wednesday
 Thursday

My cousin Kirk's wife Melanie took these great pictures of Klay's girls Elora and Kiran.

Thursday night Madi pulled her own tooth.
When your dad gets a new pellet smoker, you make a flying rainbow goat out of the box!

We have lots of fun planned for this long weekend!

First Full Week of 5th Grade!

We were ready for school on Monday in our new school shirt!
Aunt Shelle shared these great pictures of Tripp playing football for Jayton.

Can't wait to go see him play!
 Tuesday
Madi has been practicing the piano a lot since we got the new piano.

Wednesday - wearing the shirt Grandma and Grandpa got her from Montana!
Thursday was an early morning since she had a dentist appointment at 7am.  Yes, 7am.  But it was wonderful since we were done in time for school!
 Friday
Friday night was a low key family night!
Matt cooked ribs on his new pellet smoker and Madi made slime!

Girl Scouts!

Madi was interested in Girl Scouts for a few years when they would come to her school but it just never worked out.
Thankfully this year Madi's friend Penny is in a Girl Scout troop and they had room for Madi to join.
It's a small group so they are able to do so many fun activities and trips.
They started with a "camping" trip Friday night in one of the leader's backyards.  Madi loved seeing Penny and meeting new friends all while making smores, pitching a tent and sleeping outside!

Madi spent most of Saturday searching for worms in all the rain we got!

This is what it looks like when your favorite gum is on sale on Amazon and it's hard to find in the store so your awesome husband loads up . . .
Saturday Madi spent the morning up with her Daddy at his office while I had my hair appointment.  Then we went to the Foley's house for dinner!
The kids had a blast playing outside and making up skits while we enjoyed visiting and grilling out steaks.
After church on Sunday, our Sunday School class met for lunch at Rosa's.
Madi and I saved seats while everyone was arriving and ordering!

First Day of 5th Grade!

Madi's first day of 5th grade was Wednesday, August 15th.
She saw this 94 shirt in Old Navy and just had to have it for the first day of school!

 Mom & Madi
 Daddy & Madi
Love this picture!  Madi wasn't too sure about school starting but thankfully I think it ended up being fun!
We met Gracie and Devyn for ice cream after school to celebrate the first day!
This is how they feel about school starting . . .
Thursday was a No Drama Llama kind of day!
Friday was their house party so Madi wore a bunch of yellow for her Sigma House!
They had a huge bounce house slide and were squirted with water and silly string!  Great way to end the first week of school and start the weekend!

Last bit of summer . . .

I guess Grandma Mayberry missed Madi last week too!
On Monday, Raeley spent the morning with Madi and then Matt took her to see Antman and the Wasp in the afternoon.
Monday night was Meet the Teacher and I forgot to get pics with the teachers.  Well I guess you don't really do that when you're in 5th grade!  We did buy a new school shirt though!
Here's the 5th grader after we got back from Meet the Teacher.  Mr. Reep, Mrs. Simmons and Mrs. Terry were all nice!
On Tuesday, Raeley came over again and Grandma Mayberry took them to see Dog Days and to Chick-fila for lunch.  I guess it was movie week before school starts!
We've been in the market for a new piano since now Madi can tell that ours is out of tune.  We tried to get Aunt Shelle's but unfortunately it broke when we tried to move it!
Out of the blue on Tuesday our church called Matt and asked if we wanted one of their pianos since they had to move it for the new construction.  Of course we said YES!  So now Madi has a newer piano that actually sounds correct when we plays!
