Christmas Break

After all the fun of Christmas, it was time to put away decorations, organize and clean!
Matt and Madi started outside with the lights and yard and I started inside.
The weather was nice so Madi took her doll Sarah on a bike ride while Daddy swept out the garage.
I sent this picture to Grandma Heider so she could see the matching girls!
During a break from outside, we set up her tornado that she received from Grandpa Heider.
She loves to watch the debris fly around and also sit on the counter and see the eye of the storm.
Matt took a few pictures of the hard working helper he had raking up leaves.
 I guess she was a big help because . . .
He let her jump in her pile of leaves!
We met Aunt Shelle and cousins at Chickfila for lunch and to play.
Tucker and Maci came home with us so Shelle could go shopping.  Maci loves Uncle Matt and can usually be found right by his side.  :)

2nd Tooth

Madi's bottom right tooth (the one next to her first lost tooth) was loose right after the first one, which she lost on December 2nd.
So we knew it wouldn't be long before she lost another tooth but we really weren't thinking she'd lose it in the truck on the way home from Roswell on Christmas night!
She was complaining in the backseat about her tooth hurting so I reached back and out it came.  Madi couldn't even believe it was out!
So when we got home from a LONG, FUN day we had to find our tooth fairy pillow and write a letter.  Because of the time, she dictated her letter to me and then she just signed her name.
The Tooth Fairy listened to her wishes and left the tooth, didn't come inside and left her surprise on the porch.  Madi was excited to wake up to a fun packet of Tooth Fairy coloring pages, word searches, etc. all about the Tooth Fairy!

Christmas Day

We were able to get up and shower before Madison woke up Christmas morning.
 She wasn't too sure at first . . .
But it wasn't long before she was pulling Noodle around the house on her new sled.
And of course she wanted to go for a ride too!

Santa left the coolest straw glasses in her stocking that she used with her morning orange juice.
Santa put a seat on the back of her bike especially made for her doll Sarah.
After Grandma Mayberry came over and made us a yummy breakfast we jumped in the truck and headed to Roswell!

The cousins played and played.  Outside and Inside.  All day long.
Philip liked the stacking cups we got for him.
After a wonderful lunch it was time to open presents.
Grandma Heider is so talented and thoughtful.
She made Madison's doll a hand muff just like the one Madi got.  So now they match!

Grandma is telling Madison about the beautiful quilt she made for her bed.
The inside square was quilted by her mother and she added the rest so it's a very special gift that we will treasure forever.
Uncle Jake picked out cute clothes for her doll and Uncle Cody and Aunt Erin got her a cool nerf gun and flashlights.
I love this picture.  It shows how fun and chaotic all the cousins are when together.
 Cute Cousin Picture
Grandpa and Grandma Heider with all the grandkids.
 The whole gang!
 Matt's family!
 What a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Fred's Last Day!
Day 24:  We found Fred hiding in one of our glasses on the counter.
I forgot this cute one of Grandma and Madison from the night before.
 Maci makes herself at home!
 Uncle Cody & Morgan
Our next Minute-to-Win-it! game was to make a snowman by blowing through a straw and getting as many marshmallows possible inside the blue circles in one minute.
The best part was seeing Grandma and Grandpa take their turn with a modified straw!
I think Matt won this game.
Our next game was tossing marshmallows through a wreath.
Everyone had a turn but for some reason I only took a picture of Maci.  I guess because we were all busy counting and timing.  Morgan won this game!

Next up, was another version of the marshmallow toss but into cups this time.
Our last game was "Jingle in the box."
You had to jump and get the four jingle bells out of the wrapped box on your back without using your hands.
Uncle Rod had us laughing!

Maci bounced and bounced and none would come out!
Shelle's copying Matt's trick of doing a hand stand so all the bells fall out.
I think Cody was the overall winner but of course since it's Christmas all the kiddos got prizes.
Madi got a cute pillow!
Tripp's prize was a rocket. And not pictured are Tucker's fishing pole, Maci's night light stuffed animal and Morgan's perfume.
Then we opened gifts with Shelle's family since they were off to see Cody's grandma and grandpa in Levelland.
Uncle Rod gave them each money to spend.

Grandma and Grandpa gave Maci this doll with pigtails that looks just like a little Maci.
Everyone had so much fun opening gifts.  Aunt Shelle and Uncle Cody gave Madi some "wermaids" (mermaids) since she loves to play with their's in their bathtub when she spends the night.
We all got comfy and watched a Christmas movie and some of us even took a nap.  Then Shelle's family loaded up and left so we headed to Red Lobster for our traditional Christmas Eve meal with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Rod.
After our yummy dinner it was too light out to go look at Christmas lights so we came back to our house and unwrapped the rest of our presents.
Grandma got some new Toms.
Matt got a cheese grater that he was very excited about.
Madi opened her American Girl Doll that she has been anxiously awaiting.
She immediately changed her doll into the dance costume that she also received.
 "Sarah" & Madison
Madison wanted to get me houseshoes so here they are! It's the first gift that she has come up with on her own.
Grandpa got a new "My lil caddies" hat now complete with Maci's name too and a new golf towel that my friend embroidered for me.
 The much anticipated muff!
 WaxVac.  Enough said.
Madison has been wanting a pair of binoculars since she borrowed our friends' at one of Matt's football games.
I think they were a hit!
Matt got two light sabers that were definitely a surprise so they probably deserve a post all their own.
We are so blessed by family and friends!
