Cousin Camp 2021

Madi spent the week in Jayton while we went to Vegas.  She was excited also because it meant she could skip the last few days of PSAT/Scholars camp.
Aunt Shelle filled Madi's days with all sorts of fun Jayton things!
They toured the clinic in town, rode the golf cart all around town, played basketball & tennis, had snow cones and more!
Lemonade for sale!
And they couldn't miss bingo night!
Madi won and picked out ankle weights as her prize!
They put tinsel in their hair with the neighbors!

And had fun at the track it seems!
Glad cousin camp was a success!

Vegas!

We met Aunt Shelle in Post to give her Madi for the week and then we were off to the airport to meet the Lewises and Norrises!
We're celebrating these two turning 40!  Katy turned 40 in April and Sabrina turned 40 while we were in Vegas.
The guys were making fun of us wanting pictures I think!

All ready to go!
As a surprise, we rented a limo to pick us up from the airport and to take us back on our last day.
Katy and Sabrina were so surprised to see their names on his sign!

First up, was dinner at Guy Fieri and then we walked down the strip a while.
We ended the night in the same piano bar we celebrated Matt's 40th birthday almost 3 years ago!
Enjoying breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi!
Then it was time to hit the pool!
We had to escape a room while we were there!

Then we went downtown!

Hugo's Cellar is the best place to celebrate!
The next day we didn't take many pictures, but here's us relaxing downtown while the Lewises were supposed to zip line, but it got canceled due to lightening.
We walked through the flamingo habitat at our hotel, ate dinner at Giordano's and then went to see Carrot Top.  We all laughed so much!
Then it was back to the airport Friday morning!
But we all had a great time even though we were sad it was over!

LCP Volleyball Camp

Madi started LCP volleyball camp Monday afternoon!
I took screenshots of the videos they shared each day!

It was a busy week but she said she learned a lot!
Tuesday night we had over the Lewis and Norris families to finalize our plans for Vegas coming up!
Then on Wednesday we hosted the Foley, Gibbs and Buxkemper families!  We haven't seen them in a while so it was nice to catch up.
Madi and I were shopping one day last week and picked out funny outfits for each other to try on.  My new nickname was Peacock that day and I called Madi Picnic!  We laughed so hard!

This was our sad face that a few of my colleagues couldn't come to the welcome dinner at Doug's house!  We had a good time but missed a few people.
We kept Briley and got Braelynn from camp since their parents needed to go out of town.
These two played lots of volleyball out front!
They also jumped at Altitude for a few hours so they needed an ICEE!
Also, lots of swimming and volleyball out back!
Then it was time for church!
I was going to take a picture of us picking up Braelynn but they were already facetiming their parents!
Rosa's for lunch!
Then it was just us for a nice Sunday evening meal at home!
We have 2-3 weeks of back to back travel then it will be time to get ready for school!

Isbell Visit!

Friday afternoon Don and his kids Claire and Jacob came to stay with us for the weekend while Lauren finishes up her residency.
We swam and cooked out that night so everyone could visit and relax.
Saturday Madi went to a volleyball camp at TTU while the rest of us relaxed and swam some more.
Then that evening we went to dinner at Don's favorite restaurant in Lubbock Triple J's.
Food was good and the company even better!
These 3 also stayed at our house then it was up and ready for church.  We ate lunch at Rosa's before Don and his kids got back on the road for Georgetown.
Sunday afternoon we ran a few errands and then had a quiet family afternoon out by the pool - reading and working on projects.  Madi has to read two books and complete two projects for her English class coming up.

Then we had steaks, potatoes and shrimp for dinner.
Just what we needed after a super busy week and weekend!
