Snow Day!

 Madison's latest game is playing "package."

 As in, "Mom and Dad, there's a package for you!"

 We are so excited to get a package that we open it right up . . .

 And out pops this cutie ready with hugs!

 And smiles! 

 We had a warm weekend with temperatures in the 70s on Sunday but then woke up to a surprise snow day on Monday!

So biscuits it was for breakfast!

 Hide and go seek is another favorite in our house right now.

 We just need to get the point across that you don't keep hiding in the same spot each time!  :)

 Our favorite part was Madi saying "I sure am a good hider (heider!)!"  We had to laugh! 

Then we did a little fishing in the living room . . .

 Next up was painting . . .

 with lots and lots of paint colors!

 Then it was time to settle by the warm fire!

This was all before 9am on our snow day!

Now I remember what it was like to be a full time stay at home mom.

I was wore out!

The Bank & a Musical

 Monday

I can't remember if the guys were working on our neighbor's yard again or if it was just too cold for an outside picture.

This was also the first Wednesday night I didn't have my class so I was able to take Madi to Cubbies then have a date night with the hubs.  :)

 Thursday morning, we met Madison's class at People's Bank for a field trip.

 They first had a snack (doughnut and juice) in the boardroom while they watched a video about how money was made.

 Then they got to see what tellers do and even saw the director Mrs. McKee (whose husband works at the bank) in the drive-through.  They were able to hear her voice over the speaker. 

 Next, the vault . . .

 where all the valuables are kept!

 They were given a five dollar bill to practice seeing all the security marks.

 We were told to bring a dollar so they could exchange it for 100 pennies to coincide with their 100th day of school celebration this coming Monday.

 Friday

 Friday night we went to Matt's school to see the musical Xanadu.

They gave us glow sticks to use throughout the show and there was non-stop singing, dancing and roller skating!  We all loved it!

Weekend Fun

 Saturday night Madison went to Stretch 'N Grow (a program at her school) Parents' Night Out. 

She said they had so much fun and she made this cow.  :)

 The adults went to the Foley's house for dinner and game night.  We had fun as well.  

Sunday afternoon after church Madi and her Daddy went to the golf course to putt. 

Matt said it was a little windy but still productive.  They played a game to see who could putt their golf ball into the hole the fastest.  At first, Madison thought she won because it took her 6 putts and her Daddy took 4.  So then she learned that the LOWER score wins in golf.  :)

Love

 Love was the theme at our house this week.

 I'm trying to use my chalkboard sign for the various seasons.  I thought my LOVE sign turned out pretty cute. 

Monday

We switched her earrings to the red strawberries since we knew she'd be wearing lots of red and hearts this week.  She now wants to change her earrings daily!

 Thursday morning Matt made us heart shaped biscuits for breakfast. 

 Madi woke up to heart shaped balloons all over and a heart container of her favorite skittles.

 She wasn't too happy that her Daddy made the biscuits without her but she usually sleeps in on Thursday mornings since she's up late Wednesday nights because of church.

She's very meticulous with her painting.  On her second magnet she mixed colors until she got a brown to paint her horse. 

 Party time!  This lunch was perfect for Madison - chick-fila nuggest, carrot sticks, gold fish, capri-sun, and I was in charge of bringing 4 different fruits.  All the kids were excited about the blueberries the most!

 Madi stayed for the afternoon and when I went to pick her up she had quite the candy stash from all her friends and teachers.

 We love early bath night in the Heider house because it means pajamas while making dinner and then a lazy evening to follow.

First we cut the pizza dough into heart shapes.

 Then we layered pizza sauce, cheese and pepperonis on each heart. 

 Madison and I had made cupcakes earlier in the afternoon so it was time to ice and decorate them while the pizzas were cooking. 

It was a perfect night with my two Valentines!

 The weather was nice last weekend so we went on a walk at the park and Madi rode her bike around the block.  

 I guess Noodle also needed to go on ride.  With a pillow.  On her.  :)

 Dr. Heider, the veterinarian, also thought Noodle needed a check up.  

 She said her heart rate was soft and her blood pressure was 3.  

 Therefore, she concluded that her patient needed a shot behind the ear.

 Then finished up the exam by putting a bandaid on Noodle's ear.

Matt and I think a veterinarian would suit Madison just fine!
