We Moved!

Last Monday was the beginning of a very big week for us.
Here's our typical Monday morning picture.
We decided to take a picture by our "For Sale" sign before the big moving day.
 Tuesday
Wednesday was field trip day for Madi's school.
We all met at the Butterfly Exhibit at the Science Spectrum.
They all listened to the rules and answered questions about the stages of butterflies.  I was impressed that Madison knew all the answers.
We took a group picture inside.

But this is how Madi spent our time in the exhibit.
First off, I think the heat (it was 90 something in there, on purpose) spooked her a bit and then all the butterflies flying around scared her even more.
I was quite shocked by how many there were flying around.  Hundreds!
They were landing all over us and everywhere!
Right outside the exhibit was a neat display of butterflies in their chrysalis.  We saw a few emerge from their chrysalis and start flying around.
While we waited on the Butterfly Movie to start the kids played all through the museum.
Then it was time for the movie to start.
No picture on Thursday because we took Matt to school so he could bring the U-haul home that evening.

Friday morning we had breakfast at Market Street.
Then Madi went to school while we closed on both houses at 10am.
But we didn't get in our new house until 3pm.
So I sent this picture of us "homeless" people to my sister while we waited at Market Street AGAIN. :)
Aunt Shelle brought Madi to our new house as we were unloading and snapped this pic.
We all love our new house!

Spring Break

Spring Break started out with Tucker coming over for the afternoon on Friday.
We ate lunch with Grandma and then sat in the parking lot while Grandma ran into the mall.

These poor kids have no personality!
Then we ate dinner at Carino's where Madi and Tucker played pirates.
Their "treasure" was a ketchup packet hidden in the bushes. ;)

Sadly, Madi woke up sick Saturday morning when we were supposed to head to Roswell.
She actually fell asleep on me that evening.  I secretly enjoyed it!
Luckily, she felt better Sunday morning so after church we headed to Roswell for the afternoon.
We met for lunch and then hung out at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
These cousins had a BLAST!
Aunt Shelle has been sending random Maci pics lately since Maci has decided it's time to potty train.  She's only 20 months but hasn't had an accident in over a week.  A little crazy!
She's wearing two pairs of her brother's underwear in this picture.
Another sweet Maci pic from lunch on Friday with Grandma.
Since we're moving to a new house soon Madi asked how people (mainly Tucker) will know where we live.  I explained that we will tell them where and she suggested a map.  I sketched the main path between our house and the new one so she could copy it.
Her words say "you have to hold it sideways."  Since she drew the map the other way.

Our sweet friends Kennedy and Keegan are always bringing Madi gifts by the house.  We got a kite a few weeks back and this week was Pixos.
They remind me of the beads we had as kids that you ironed together except these just use water.
They kept her entertained for days!
It wouldn't be Spring Break without a visit to Cup of Yo by our new house for a little treat.
Thursday morning we decided to walk to the donut store for breakfast.
Fun memory - Madison has never eaten an actual donut.  She just licks off all the icing. :)
The weather has been beautiful so between packing we've walked at the park and played catch a little.

Friday morning we had breakfast at Market St.
Madi picked out the cutest little bird's nest cookie.
Friday afternoon we met Aunt Shelle and kiddos at Chuck E. Cheese.

Friday night we did a little pre-shopping for furniture.
Madi said "Take my picture Mom" as she hopped on each piece of furniture.
My Lucky sign for St. Patrick's Day
And our little lucky leprechaun before church this morning.

We had a great break together but we're ready to get "moving week" started!

Swim Lessons!

Sunday afternoon, we went to our sweet friend Jessica's 6th birthday party!
It was at Ready, Set, Go and boy did they go, go, go all afternoon!
 Monday
Mrs. Cude said to wear their Dion's shirt from the field trip last Friday.
Maybe they were taking a group picture for the friends that were absent???
That afternoon we had to take Daddy a new pair of sunglasses at school since his broke.
I guess she needed a ride back to the car.  :)
Then we headed to swim lessons.
We're trying private lessons this time and a little early to be sure we are ready for SUMMER!
Madi loved Reagan and said "I want to go to swim lessons every single Monday."
I guess she'll be happy for the next few Mondays at least.
 Tuesday
I was able to help out in Madison's room on Tuesday for about an hour while her teacher was honored with an hour off at the local Pie Bar.  The director, Mrs. McKee, does such sweet things to honor her hard workers.  I guess that's why they have little turnover staff-wise.
Although, I loved helping out for that hour it reminded me why I love the college (and high school) age the best.  :)

 Wednesday
This Wednesday was visitation and we videoed the dance for her recital this May.
So Madi and her friends had to sit quietly.
Thank good for Ms. Sabrina who Madi LOVES!

 Thursday
Grandma had a doctor appointment so after visiting a school I met her, Aunt Bevie, Shelle and kids for lunch at a new place called The Egg & I.
Tucker had a Mickey Mouse pancake.
Maci kept me busy outside while Aunt Bevie paid.
Thursday after school was craft and game time at our house.
We made paint out of corn syrup and food coloring.  It paints on normal but dries really shiny.
Grandma found a United States game on the back of a cereal box so Madi had fun labeling each state while eating a cucumber of course.
 Friday
This is the face of a spoiled little girl.
Her Daddy has bible study each Friday morning and they meet at Market St. so he brings us home breakfast and usually a special cookie for this cutie!
I'm not sure why this is sideways, but lately Madi likes to wrap up random things around the house in a blanket and give it to us as a present.  This time she gave each of us a card.
It says "Madi wrote a letter to you. Love, Madi"
I told Madi this morning that we were getting short on dresses in our house since she refuses to wear jeans or tennis shoes.
She said "let's go buy some more."
