Busy Week

Our Memorial Day was nice and relaxing.
We spent the afternoon at the pool after Matt played golf in the morning.
That evening we made quesadillas and fresh salsa.
Yum!
Tuesday morning I needed to visit with a principal at a high school so I sent this cutie to her Aunt Shelle's house for a few hours.
She came back all tattooed up!
 3 in all!
Daddy wasn't too happy but they all were gone by bath time that night.
Right after I picked her up from Shelle's house we grabbed Villa for lunch and headed to Matt's school to have lunch with him.
It was a fun time since usually she's in school when I take Matt lunch.
Wednesday was a busy, busy errand day.
We were all over town running different errands and crossing things off my to-do list!
First up, Clay Cafe to make Daddy's annual Father's Day mug.
Madi picked out all the colors herself and did all the painting.
It turned out really cute and she even wrote "Madi's Daddy" and "2013" this time.
After a few stops in the mall we had to ride the escalator in Barnes & Noble.
That night Shelle and the kids came over for spaghetti and hair cuts.
First we made a stop at Cup of Yo!
 This cutie is a MESS!
She kept backing into Uncle Matt and holding on to his fingers so he'd "jump" her in the air.
 She went pretty high!
Madi didn't want to be left out so she wanted her turn to jump too.
Poor thing didn't get the same height as Maci did.
Thursday morning we cleaned out the garage, patio and went to the car wash.
Then Bianca called and asked us to meet her and Allison at Chuck E. Cheese to play and for lunch.
The girls had so much fun!
Then we headed to PetsMart for Grandma Mayberry.
And of course while we were there we had to visit all the different animals.
The doggy day camp is my favorite part!

Friday we went to Clare's house for play group after my quick meeting.
These girls were dressed up the whole time!

Pool Time!

Before church on Sunday Madi just had to try on her swimsuit for the pool that afternoon.
Daddy's dress shoes are optional!

Dance Recital 2013

 Dress Rehearsal Time!
 All ready to go backstage!
One last picture before they all lined up.
The rehearsal is laid back so I took a couple of pictures of her on stage.
They go through their dance two times then we head home.
We were free on Friday and then Saturday morning we were back to the coliseum for Dance Recital Take 1.
We usually have to wait quite a while backstage so we got there a little later Saturday morning.
We barely had time to get her dressed and then they were lining up.  Too close for this momma!
I had to snap one more pic during the performance.
 Right after her morning recital.
We were outside waiting on the rest of the family.

 Here they come . . .
She ran straight to Grandma Heider and jumped into her arms!  It as precious!

Madison with Grandma & Grandpa Heider
 With Mommy & Daddy
She loves getting flowers from her Daddy!
We all met at our house for lunch right after the morning recital.
We had such a good time eating and visiting that I didn't take any pictures except this one as we were eating ice cream cake.
We arrived with a little more prep time for the evening performance Saturday night.
Emery, Madison & Jenna
Both these girls are also in her Sunday school class.

Madison and Brinkley were too cute practicing their dance moves.

There were serious about practicing!  They went through the whole thing!
One quick pic with her flowers Sunday morning before church.
Another great dance recital weekend!

First Play Dates of Summer!

Last Thursday we finally scheduled a play date with Hudson from Madison's Kindergarten class.
Hudson will also be going to Cooper Central like Madi so it'll be nice to have a familiar face.
Hudson and his brother Asher just got this play fort for their birthdays so we had to come over and check it out.  Then we headed to Chick-fila for lunch.
Friday morning we met our old play group at McDonalds to play. Madi was so excited since we haven't been there in probably a year plus she doesn't get to see these friends much anymore.
Madi made Tucker a butterfly from all her craft supplies that afternoon.
At first I thought it was a fish and I was immediately corrected.  :)
I see many more crafts in our future this summer!

Madi's First Day of Summer!

Madi came home from the last day of school with a bunch of fun stuff for summer.
Bubbles, beach ball, sidewalk chalk, jump rope, . . .
We started summer off right by cooking out and having movie night.
Madi wanted to see the dove's nest in our tree up close!
Last time we checked, there were two adult doves and two babies.
Pretty exciting to see right out back.
For movie night, we picked Peter Pan since she hadn't seen it before and it's the theme of her dance camp this summer followed by Peter Pan Moonlight Musical that we'll be going too.  We didn't make it through the whole thing because it was a little too scary for Madison.  We may try again another night. And of course, she wore her Tinkerbell pajamas for the event.
First day of summer and we are off to the eye doctor for Madison.
She did so well with all the tests.  And there were a bunch of tests!
It's hard to tell but they dilated her eyes so her pupils were HUGE!  Thank goodness her eyes are great and we don't have to go back for two years.
The eye doctor must have worn her out because this is how I found her when I woke up from my nap.  She NEVER naps anymore.  :)
Madi's balloon needed an identical balloon attached to it, I guess. :)
I saw a great use for these flat plastics tubs on a blog yesterday and decided since we had some extra ones we needed to have a mini sandbox outback.  After dinner at Firehouse we went to Wal-Mart and bought some sand and sand toys.
 Madi loved playing it!
Matt thought Chicke needed a good combing since summer time is coming.
We were amazed at how much hair came off of her.
Madi then thought Noodle needed a combing too.
By the looks of it, Noodle thought it was a good idea as well.
