So Thankful for Grandma!

My mom has been driving from Colorado City to Lubbock every week since mid-January to keep Madison and Tucker while I teach at Tech. Although I know she so enjoys this time with her two youngest grandkiddos, I realize what a sacrifice she is making to do so.
Here's Madison saying "thank you for keeping me" with a sweet kiss!

So pleased with herself!
Tucker is loving sitting on Grandma's lap while sipping her tea week after week!

Thanks Grandma for coming over and taking such good care of us!
We love you!

Baby It's Warm Outside!

On Friday afternoon, I couldn't wait for Madi to wake up from her nap so we could head outside. It was SO beautiful! I read my Real Simple Magazine and sipped sweet tea while watching her play. And I snapped a few pictures of course!

And now it's supposed to snow tonight! Go figure! At least we enjoyed while we could.

Seriously . . . ????

A couple of nights ago right before Madison's bed time I hear her say, "it's stuck." I don't think anything of it (really didn't WANT to think anything of it) and kept on reading/watching tv. She said it again so I told Matt to turn on the overhead light. And sure enough Madi had stuck a dark chocolate chip UP her nose! We have given her chocolate chips or m&ms in a bowl before and she has NEVER stuck anything up her nose. Luckily we still have the nose sucker from the hospital and it came out after a few tries, melted of course. We were amazed by how much chocolate there was from one chip.

Where'd that come from?
Hopefully this was the FIRST and LAST sticking-something-up-our-nose incident for Miss Madi!

Valentines, Sharing & Locks of Love

I snapped a "few" pictures of Madison before we went to the Wednesday evening meal at church and then Bible Study. We wore red for Valentines Day!

She wasn't in the best "picture-taking" mood so my car keys did the trick!

So serious . . .
We're working on sharing these days with Madi so when she shared (of all things) McAlister's sweet tea with her cousin Tucker I was so PROUD! It's good stuff!

Just one sip . . .

Almost done ???

Look at me . . . I'm sharing!

My sister Shelle cut her hair off 10 inches and donated it to Locks of Love. I told her I wanted to take before/after pictures of her. I might do this too. I just need to grow my hair out about 1 inch then I should be ready. Thank goodness our hair grows super fast!
BEFORE
AFTER . . .

Tucker kept looking at her over and over . . . like "where's my momma?"
Oh it's her!
No Valentine's Day/Weekend pics here. We just stayed home and Matt made steaks, fries, and shrimp. Then I made some awesome brownies with ice cream. Such a quiet, fun weekend!

Good Times!

Matt's mom made Madison a Valentines dress, a St. Patrick's Day dress and an Easter/spring dress. This is one spoiled little girl!

She looked so adorable for church this morning.

I LOVE this one. Typical Madi.

There were just too many cute pics to choose from. Matt snapped these pictures as I finished getting ready. I think these two had too much fun!

This weekend Matt's sister Erin and her family came to town and we went bowling for Ethan's 4th birthday.

Owen, Cody, Ethan & Erin

Birthday Boy Bowling

Owen's turn . . .

This was Madison's first time bowling. She really liked it and didn't do too bad either!
Waiting on the yummy pizza and cupcakes!

Happy Birthday Ethan!
Then it was game time . . .
These two played almost every game in the place. All the guys even got to play Laser Tag.

Here's Madi being a "great" role model to cousin Tucker. She has shown him how to get on her bed and the table. I told her he could fall and that she shouldn't help him up there. And she put her hand around him and said "I hold him."

Little Stinker knows what he's doing . . .

Then later that day came the smiley face stickers . . . EVERYWHERE!

Our house is covered in them. A week later and I'm still finding them.

He doesn't seem to mind being covered in stickers. Thank goodness!
Matt's first groupie . . .

He's still playing the guitar each night and getting better and better. He sings as well so Madi loves to join him. And what better place to sit than the empty guitar case???
(And if you're wondering why Matt's shirt is all wet well during bath time these two love to blow bubbles. And Madi especially loves holding her Daddy's head under while he puts his face in the water. He always comes out of there soaking wet! What a trooper!)

So as you can see . . . there's been a lot of good times lately in the Heider Household!
