Christmas 2025

We got home from the airport just in time to prep for dinner then get ready for church.

All the cousins and Grandma Mayberry started their painting while dinner was on the grill.
Uncle Cody and Uncle Rod helped Matt with the fajitas.

Finished products!
Then it was time to open gifts!
Everyone was so thankful for all the great gifts!

Madi's friend MJ made us a Moose for Maddie Girlfriend . . .
And a Lala for Grandma Mayberry.  Lala passed away a few months ago when she was out running at the park and got hit by a car. I know Grandma will love having this Lala with her on her rides from now on.
December 25:  Fred left a bunch of candy for the movies!
Matt, Madi and I opened a few gifts just us 3 Christmas morning before we started breakfast.
Matt cooked bacon, sausage and eggs on the Blackstone and Shelle made pancakes inside.  I was the fruit and hot chocolate maker!

Then it was time for the movies!
Yes, a few of us wore pjs at Madi's suggestion. :)
Then that evening we had two type of pastas in the crock pot for an easy dinner whenever anyone was hungry after all the candy and popcorn.
Madi went to Hunter's house to see his family for Christmas. I loved the blanket Hunter got her.
Hunter gave Matt beef jerky he made so he wanted to get me something as well even though I told him I don't need gifts.  He noticed my laundry basket handle was cracked and got me a new one. I absolutely love that he noticed it and thought I could use a new one.  So thoughtful!
Madi has a Brad Pitt blanket that her friends got her years ago. Hunter's mom and grandma loved it at one of his football games when she had it with her. So Madi knew she had to get a Brad Pitt one for Memaw and a Tom Cruise one for Tiffany. :)

It was a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with family and friends!

Pre-Christmas Vegas Trip!

December 19:  Fred was so proud that he found dark chocolate with caramel but no sea salt!
Biscuit was happy to be going on a walk but not so much about her jacket. :)
We went and cheered on Elly, Baylee and Alyssa in their basketball game the week before Christmas.
December 20:  We were leaving for our pre-Vegas trip so Fred brought snacks for Madi and Hunter!
Madi had a fun NYE shoot as part of her 4 seasons sessions for senior year.
Can't wait to see the final pictures!
Had to get our nails done before the trip.  :)
We ate a quick first dinner knowing we would eat again when we arrived in Vegas. Sadly, our flight was delayed a few hours so we went to Dave & Buster's to kill some time.
Madi and Hunter had a blast playing all the games!

Finally about to take off!
Landed in Vegas!
We took a cab to the Venetian and finally found our room. It was quite a maze to get there.
We went to our second dinner of the night (probably 11pm Lubbock time) at Black Tap and enjoyed these fun desserts!
Shopped a little on the way back to the room.  Hunter loved this store!

December 21: Fred made a scavenger hunt for Madi and Hunter to play during their first full day in Vegas!
We started with breakfast at Alexxa's then walked to the Bellagio and down the strip to show Hunter most of the sights.

Then we went to Play!
They were both so good at the Velcro wall!

They tons of fun places to play and take pics!

This game was tough but so fun!

We weren't very successful doctors on this one!
This is so fun!

Then we headed to walk around some more before going to Giordano's for dinner then to the comedy club.
We stopped at Ghiradelli's for ice cream after the show.  It was good as usual!
December 22: Fred knew this day was shopping day so he brought them some cash!
Brunch at Jardin's then a day of shopping!

Hunter's red velvet pancakes were amazing!

After shopping, we met Matt downtown so Madi and Hunter could ride the zip line.

Since it wasn't busy they let them ride again!
We headed back to the strip to eat at Yardbird before going to Mystere!

December 23:  Fred was hoping being in Vegas would bring them luck with the lotto tickets.  No such luck!
More shopping before Madi and Hunter enjoyed a spa day complete with brunch, a massage and pedicure!

Thankful for family taking care of our house and dogs while we are away!
Madi letting us know they were ready to head to Hugo's for a wonderful dinner on our last night.
Pre-dinner pictures . . .

Dinner at Hugo's was amazing as usual.  It was nice to slow down and visit before heading home the next morning.
December 24: Even Fred was ready to head home and celebrate Christmas! :)
