Library Books

Matt took Madi to the library with him before leaving for Vegas last week to get a few books.

Madi LOVES picking books out off of the shelves, reading them and checking them out.
I'm happy that she loves books but I think we need to have a talk about how we TREAT our library books after seeing her like this today!

Madi and Tucker find the neatest games to play.

They each sat on a different end of the hallway and rolled the soccer ball back and forth.

Simple! Nothing can break and they're not throwing the ball around my house.

Perfect!

While . . .

Madi, Tucker and I played at the lake . . .

And went on golf cart rides with Grandma . . .

And snacked on bacon and suckers (YUM!) . . .

And enjoyed being outside . . .

While we did all this . . . Daddy went to Vegas with Uncle Jacob!

We're all back home now and ready for a relaxing weekend!

Big Wheels for a Big Girl!

We decided it was time for Madi to have a Big Girl Bike! And with such beautiful weather this was the weekend.

As you can tell, she loved it!

And immediately started to pedal all over.

After naptime, we're heading to the park to practice some more.

I'm not sure who's more excited . . . Madi or her Daddy????

These kids . . .

. . . crack me up!

You would've thought they won the lottery with how excited they were when I told them we were going outside.
They've been cooped up too long I guess!

Then when I said "let's go to the park" they couldn't contain themselves!

These kids also make me laugh on a daily basis with what they find to play with.

They found baskets to carry their soccer balls in and acted as though that was normal.

Along with their purses, of course.

Don't. Forget. The. Purses.

I think they came and kissed me goodbye at least 30 times before they "left" on their adventures.

I love their little imaginations at work!

But what I love more are all the pictures I have of Tucker carrying his purses to show him later when he's all grown up!

Great Wolf Lodge

We went on a little mini-vacation with my sister's family to Great Wolf Lodge. It was so much fun.

They had jet skis that shot water out for the little ones.

Plenty of room to swim and jump.

Plus lots and lots of slides!

We brought life vests but Madi and Tucker thought they were too big for them. And they did really well too!

It was really warm inside and the water wasn't too bad either. It was weird swimming with snow on the ground outside, though!

Tucker's turn . . .

They had a long slide for the littles too.

She really didn't understand how standing in line worked. She'd let anyone go in front of her no matter when they came up. Needless to say, we waited quite a long time for her to slide!

She loved it!

And went down it over, and over, and over . . . and you get the point!

Tucker is definitely a WATER BABY!

He just took off and jumped in!

They had these really neat logs to run across with a net above.

Tripp loved to race across.

I think he made it across at least three times without falling.

Way to go Tripp!

Cody and Tripp had to show off their muscles!

The Cub Cave where the kiddos slept was really neat.

It had bunk beds on one side with a ladder and a single bed on the other side.

And it had it's very own tv. So the kids acutally LIKED going to bed!

I wasn't able to take too many pictures since we were busy having fun so I just snapped a few of all the areas of the waterpark.

There were three or four BIG slides for the bigger kids and adults. The Tornado one was super scary!

This is a shot of the little kids area. It had four slides, jet skis and tons of things to climb on.

Tripp's favorite was the wave pool!

This is the lazy river . . . which would be much more relaxing if I wasn't carrying around a kiddo!

We ate at the Rainforest Cafe which was a hit with the kids, shopped at Grapevine's Outlet mall and ate at Pappasitos which was a hit with the adults!

This will definitely become a yearly tradition for us!
