Week ??? of Quarantine!

I introduced Madi to the wonderful snack of pickles, cheese and crackers.  Aunt Shelle and I ate those all the time growing up!
Madi's Girl Scout leader dropped off a huge bag of fun things for her to do and earn badges.  These were all activities they were going to do together as a troop but this is the next best thing.
Baking cupcakes for Penny a girl in her troop!
Madi won't eat cake but she enjoyed baking and decorating them.
On Friday April 10th, we celebrated Grandpa Mayberry's 72nd birthday with a steak dinner!
Madi's friend Rylee surprised her with a note outside and 10 hidden Easter eggs out front.

Madi had fun finding all the hidden eggs!
Madi made a face mask from a bandanna in her Girl Scout badge bag!

Then she made the pizza . . .

Ms. Sarah has been such a good troop leader and her bag of badges helped keep Madi entertained during quarantine!
Easter was different this year for sure.  We still hid eggs for our girl though before watching the church service.
She was a little tired but still found all 41 eggs in record time!
There were also 2 scavenger hunts left for her with fun gifts at the end!
Playing around with the make-up kit she got from the Easter bunny.
Madi said she wanted to do a theme night . . . so we had a Frozen II night on Monday.
We watched Frozen II on Disney + and picked our favorite pint of ice cream to enjoy!
I love when Madi braids my hair.
 Being silly . . .
Friday, April 17th, Madi woke up to a sweet welcoming message from NCL!
NCL is a national charity league that Madi and I joined.  I'm thankful they had space for her age group and that we were able to join.
We meet monthly and volunteer throughout the year!  Can't wait to get started!
 Tie-dying shirts for fun!
Facetiming with the Dodson cousins . . .
Unique way to curl her hair . . .
Cutting some of my old sundresses to make swim suit cover ups for summer!
On Sunday, we headed to Lake Alan Henry to go out on the boat with the cousins. But first we had to play with Tuck's new toy.
 Beauty on the boat!
Happy hour via Zoom with the Foleys on Tuesday night.  We talked for over two hours!
Bianca dropped of a gift on our door step earlier that day for Matt to open while on Zoom.
Adam made this face mask for Matt using his 3D printer!
 Hilarious!
The cousins came to stay with us since Cody's grandma passed away on Saturday.  I asked Tuck if he was comfortable like this . . .
We got a game of Dixit in before they headed to the viewing.
 Madi and I making a fun Mama Mia video . . .

Heading out to ride her bike around the neighborhood . . .
Amy bought us all these cute Lubbock shirts and dropped them off on our porches.  We wore them to our weekly Site Coordinator meeting so we had to take a picture together after our meeting ended.  :-)
Friday night in the hammock . . . the puppies love having her outside with them.
 Quarantine purchase . . .

We have one happy little girl!
Madi has been into making smoothies lately.  Here's her latest attempt . . .
We are definitely adapting to our new normal.  Hope it's not for too much longer though!

Week 3 of Quarantine!

Last Thursday, Madi and I had to go run errands and it made us feel so normal.
First stop was to my friend Jennifer that makes cookie kits.
Madi was so excited to decorate a dozen farm animal cookies.

She did a great job decorating but loved icing the pig cookies the most.

The other errand was to pick up her new school shirt "Pirates Learn at Home."
We saw that kids are doing an Easter egg hunt around town so we had a family coloring time so we can hang these in our windows so kids can have fun hunting for them during walks or drives.

Another trip in the car just to get out of the house.  Madi made her own home made version of a white mocha drink from Starbucks.  She said it was good!
We turned our driveway into a huge Chutes & Ladders game board.
It was tough to make but fun to play!
Then we had a fun snacky lunch complete with a few games of Uno.
Love hearing all about Tripp's accomplishments!
We ran to check on Grandpa so while we were out we went through the Starbucks drive through for a quick treat for this girl.

The next night we loaded up in our pajamas and went to Marble Slab for ice cream!
We made a fun banner for some upcoming birthdays.
Grandma B.'s 93rd birthday was on Tuesday the 7th so we sent her a fun video!
One of Madi's friends Briley's birthday was also on Tuesday and her mom organized a surprise birthday parade.  So we loaded up and Madi yelled from our sunroof.
There were a ton of cars so hopefully she felt celebrated!
We were pretty happy with what we made from things around the house!
Grandpa Mayberry stopped by with lunch on Monday so we rode around and Madi wanted to hop in the back for a few seconds.
 Trying to do an ariel!
And now, Madi's latest interest is learning to ride a skateboard.
Whatever gets us outside and is active, is what we are going with right now!
