Party Time!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we made a day trip to Roswell for our nephew Owen's 2nd Birthday. It's so nice since Madi and Owen are only 6 weeks apart. They play so well together. Ethan will be 4 soon but loves to play with them as well.

We actually got all 3 to sit still, look at the camera and half way smile.

I was surprised by how much Madi liked the jumpy thing. In the past, she really hasn't been a big fan of them.

On our way back into town from Roswell we stopped at McAlisters for a soup and sandwich. There was a horse and carriage giving rides as we finished dinner so we jumped on. The horses are beautiful and Madi wouldn't take her eyes off of them. Here she is staring at the horses as we rode.

So Thankful!

We are so thankful for our wonderful friends and the annual Thanksgiving dinner they put together a few days before the real turkey day. Here we are trying out the timer feature on our camera before we headed out to their house. We very rarely get "family" pictures of the 3 of us.

Tuesday evening we headed to the lake (my parents' house) along with my sister and her family and my brother. Here's Tuck getting Grandma kisses!

I love that Tripp is at the age where he likes/wants to play games. Here he is playing Connect 4 with Grandma as Madi and Tuck look on. I played him later on and he actually beat me at one game. I couldn't believe it.

Tripp playing his DS game. He lost his two front teeth recently and now the new ones are already coming in. I heard he got 5 bucks for each tooth! WOW! I need back pay from my tooth fairy. I maybe got a quarter or two.

BIG FAT LIP!

Madison has started really playing with her dolls and stuffed animals. She'll carry them around, wrap them in her blankets and even put them to bed. Too sweet. She brought her pig and puppy outside so I snapped a few pics.

The Heiders like to put Christmas stuff up early. It's probably because on the night of the 25th or the 26th at the latest it all comes down. By then I'm ready to have my house back to normal. This year was so fun since Madi really enjoyed putting up the tree and lights.

She like Santa but didn't want to get too close at first.

Then we talked her into giving him a big ole kiss.

Saturday night we went out to eat with my sister's family and then did a little shopping. Matt dropped us off at Burlington and headed to Best Buy. I had Tripp, Tuck and Madi while my sister looked at toys for her boys. Tripp was chasing Madison, Madi fell and Tripp fell on her. When she got up blood was everywhere and I panicked. This was Madi's first real ouchie and I failed miserably. I called Matt and scared him and was yelling across the store for my sister. She bit her lip pretty badly and blood was all over her face. But luckily her teeth were okay and it was all better by the time Matt got there. Needless to say, I now know why God gave me a healthy child - I would be a basketcase if she were sick all the time or accident prone.

Thank goodness the wedding this little flower girl will be in is not for two weeks. Hopefully it will be all better by then.

Family & Friends!

We have been enjoying this beautiful fall weather by going to the park as often as possible. This is usually the view I have once Madi talks her Daddy into taking her to the park. She's getting so big - now she stops at the street and looks both ways for cars then crosses.

MUST. CLIMB. UP.

We haven't put lights on our house in the past but we knew this year we had to! So we decided to start early in case there were any problems. Let's just say it was a GOOD thing we started early. Poor Matt made so many trips to Lowes that I lost count. But Madison had so much fun helping her Daddy string up the lights.

It's a ritual now every night for Matt to take Madi outside and turn on the lights once it gets dark. She loves the lights! We can't wait for Christmas now that she's older.

With flu season going around we've decided to do a few home playdates so we can stay away from all the sick kiddos. Nora and Lydia came over last week for a yummy lunch and playdate. Although sharing our toys was tough at first a good time was had by all.

The big TUCKER turns one on the 18th. My sister and family had a Backyardigans Birthday Party for him last Saturday morning.
