Saturday, Madi wanted to color the tips of her hair again for the summer!
Red it is!
Sunday afternoon, we loaded up the car and headed to take Madi to Camp Champion for the week.
Thankfully, Madi's good friend Raeley signed up to attend too!
Roommates!
Camp Champion is a Christian camp held at Lubbock Christian University.
So, the girls were able to stay together in one of the dorm rooms in Katie Rogers Hall.
The camp is only for incoming 6th through 8th graders so we left them on their own!
They had a cute knight theme for the week . . .
The girls had never been to LCU so we showed them this map real quick and pointed to a few buildings and off we went!
They texted us this picture of them Monday morning looking more like college freshmen than soon-to-be 6th graders!
We sure missed them throughout the week so thankfully they sent a few pictures!
Madi's wristlet broke so Daddy got to see her real quick on Wednesday when he dropped off the new one.
We bought a camera for Madi to take since they had to leave their phones in the dorm during the day. She took some good pictures . . .
They went to the Starbucks on campus at least once a day!
Friday morning, we went and viewed the end of camp video they make and picked up our girl!
Not surprisingly, these girls were packed and had their room spotless. They did win cleanest dorm one night during camp which meant they were the first to eat that day!
A few group pictures . . .
More Starbucks!
And a picture of Lindsey, their camp counselor!
While Madi was gone for the week, Matt and I enjoyed a few happy hours with our friends the Tullos' and Foleys. Plus we had my brother over for dinner and I met some of my Estacado friends for dinner. We spent our time wisely since our girl was away at camp.

I also had my two new site coordinators attend training for two of the days and we snapped pictures on our way to the SUB for lunch on Wednesday.
Sarah & Shay are going to be great additions to our team!
We are so glad Madi had fun but we are even happier to have her home again!
