Crazy Cousin Fun!

Aunt Erin, Ethan, Owen and Henry spent a few days with us this past week.
We started their visit off with swimming at our pool followed by a nap, dinner, and shoe shopping.

Then Spoonfuls for frozen yogurt!
 Everyone LOVED the yogurt!
The kids played outside that evening and I gave all the boys haircuts!  Pretty handsome!
We started the next morning at the Science Spectrum.
There was so much to do and play.  I think everyone loved it!
After a quick lunch (and play!) at Chick-fila we headed to Main Event for a little bowling.

Even Henry got in on the fun!
You can't go to Main Event and not play the games.
So, after bowling the kids each played a few games.

The kids took a "nap" after all the fun and Aunt Erin and I went shopping some more!
Then, we headed to Rosa's for dinner followed by the much anticipated Joyland!
We traded Henry for Tucker with Aunt Shelle and headed to ride all the rides.  :)
The kids were able to ride pretty much every ride they wanted to and then some.
We were all exhausted after the three fun filled days, but it sure was worth it!

Fireman Party

Last Saturday, Madi and Tucker went to Justin's fun Fireman Party!
We all met at the firehouse for a tour and demonstration of how the firemen get dressed quickly and all the bells and whistles on the truck!
All the kids got to sit in the driver's seat and pretend they were real firemen!

I was impressed with how still Madi and Tucker were during all the demonstrations.  They seemed really interested!
For the next half of the party we drove over to the new splash pad in Justin's neighborhood to play.
The kids all loved the water shooting out from various places.
There was also a fun park right next to the splash pad.  Then we enjoyed cake and punch before heading to our swimming pool.  We had some pretty tired kids that afternoon!

Joy

We went with my sister and her kids to visit my parents for a few days last week.
We were excited to see the new addition Joy.
My mom acquired two donkeys, Jack and Jill, and Jill happened to be pregnant when they got her.
So, now there's 3!

We never thought in a million years that our parents would have donkeys, but here there are!
They were a little nervous when my camera made sounds so this was as close as I could get to Joy as she was nursing.
Aunt Shelle and all the cousins on a late evening golf cart ride.
They all take turns driving the golf cart and love seeing the trains go by and all the wild animals.
Hopefully, next time we go for a visit there won't be ANOTHER addition to the donkey group!

Picnic

We surprised Madi Tuesday night by having a "picnic" in her bedroom while watching her new favorite show "Veggie Tales."

She was so cute.  As we were bringing in the food she had a stuffed animal for each of us (for company, of course!) and a book in case we wanted to read.  She's such a good hostess!

Madi took a picture of us too!
My two favorite people watching "Sweet Pea Beauty."
Then another surprise was a Sweet Pea Puzzle we found the other night at Mardel's.  Matt saw the puzzle and said "we have to get that for her!"  What a sweet daddy!
She did the entire 100 piece puzzle (with a little help from us) and was so proud of herself!

Park Time

It was too cold on Tuesday to go swimming so my sister and I took the kids to a park to play.
Madi and Tucker both loved sliding down this pole.  It sounded like it hurt but they kept sliding down over and over.
The ducks just started running towards us when we went to look at them.  I guess they thought we had food for them.  It was a little scary.  Thankfully, they backed off after a while.  Next time, we'll remember bread!
Maci wanted to do everything the big kids did!
Then they all tried to slide together.  It didn't work too well!
Madi has become such a little fearless climber!
And poser!  She asked me to take her picture again and did this pose. :)
And of course, Tucker needed his picture taken too!
We told him to be extra careful since he just got a huge gash on his right eye from hitting the coffee table.
I caught Maci trying to eat some rocks when her momma wasn't watching!
Last pose before we headed home to rest!
Tuesday was also Maci's actual first birthday so I tried to get a few pictures of her.
She usually smiles all the time but for some reason she won't sit still for pictures.
So I tried to catch a few smiles on the go!

 We were playing peek-a-boo here!

Happy 1st birthday Maci!
