We started our Thanksgiving celebrations with lunch after church at the Foley's house. It was fun to catch up with them and the Gibbs. Then we had our church Thanksgiving dinner Sunday night. These kids could see each other every single day!
Since I traveled last week and Matt and I are sneaking away for some fun next week, I went into to work for a few hours this week. And Casey, Donna and Levi talked me into going out to lunch for Pho. It's Vietnamese food and although it was okay I don't think it'll have a repeat performance.
At school, Madi wrote us a Thanksgiving letter and it arrived on Tuesday.
We laughed and smiled so much when reading it.
Wednesday started the Cousins Thanksgiving Celebration with lunch at Blue Sky!
Then we all went to Grandma Mayberry's house and set up her tree and decorated it.
Then Wednesday evening the party started at our house!
The first game for Cousins Thanksgiving was a Turkey Shoot!
Each cousin had 12 turkeys (orange balloons with turkeys drawn on them) to shoot with the BB gun.
They all LOVED it!
And we had a blast watching them.
Elora and Kiran were with us too since Klay had to work.
These girls are inseparable.
The audience . . .
Kiran didn't need games as long as she had a puppy to hold!
Next, we played a fun scavenger hunt around the house.
The last clue let them all to the mailbox where there were Pez for all of them!
Then we played stuffed the turkey. I found the idea on Pinterest but I was still pretty proud of my turkey. :)
We took a break to eat fajitas and take a few pictures . . .
Then the kids went on a turkey hunt. There were 12 turkeys hidden around the house. A few were pretty tricky!
While Kiran played us a song on the piano, Elora danced for us!
Then we played Shake Your Turkey Feathers!
It was so funny to watch them twist and turn to get those feathers to come out!
A simple tissue box, feathers and some string provided so much fun!
We also played Would You Rather and Thanksgiving Trivia on the TV. But I guess that wasn't enough because the girls came up with their own games including limbo!
And Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer!
We had so much fun at Cousins Thanksgiving. It's a lot of work (especially with traveling, school and work!) but it's worth it. These are the memories they recall year after year. :)
