Kid's Day Out

 Ready for another fun week Monday Morning!

 Monday night at swim team they practiced diving off the blocks and racing in the lanes right by us. 

 She was practically skipping back each time!

 Tuesday

 We picked up Maisen and met Shelle and all her kiddos again this week to help out Stephanie's Children's Lit class.  They are all such good kids and great students that LOVE to learn!

 This picture came in the mail when we got home from the pool!

 So I was able to complete her dance shadow box.  I can't believe she's been in dance for 4 years!

 Wednesday

 We skipped the pool Wednesday afternoon because Madi had swim team at night and then the Tullos' going away swim party after that.  It was a long night of swimming!  We sure are going to miss the Tullos family. 

 Thursday was Kids Day Out at church.  We met up there at 9am for them to have a worship time, head to Adrenaline City, eat lunch and then back to the church for water games and sno-cones. 

 Right as I arrived to pick Madi up I saw the buses.  It just made me think of how grown up she's becoming. 

 Friday

Matt and I promised each other to not make any plans for the entire weekend.  Well except a church get together Sunday night.  So looking forward to time with my two favorites!

VBS 2014

 We love the summer reading program at our library.

After reading about 20 books we picked up a fun prize bag!

 We saw another little girl wearing a similar swimsuit to this and I asked Madi if she'd want one since applying sunscreen is her least favorite thing to do.  She liked the idea so we headed straight to Old Navy.  It's been so nice to apply less sunscreen! 

 Monday

 Monday was the first night at VBS this summer.

 Shay and I taught the Kindergarten class together this year.  Madi and Maisen loved having us with them!

 Tuesday 

 Another night of VBS about to start!

 Wednesday is movie day!  They went and saw Epic. 

 Thursday was the last night of VBS.  We had a good group of kids and such a fun time! 

  Friday

  We decided to skip the pool Friday afternoon and opted to play and have lunch at Chick-fila with Aunt Shelle and all the kids.  Madi came to work with me for a little while so I could finish up my presentation for Dallas the next morning.

Madi loves stairs of any kind so we had to stop so she could go down to the basement and back up again as we were leaving!

 I got my dates wrong and signed Madi up for an art class with her friend Maisen for the Saturday I would be in Dallas.  Thankfully, Shay took the girls and they had a great time.

 Madi & Daddy have lunch at Souper Salad any time I'm out of town!

 Then they went to the golf store and had a picnic for dinner on the living room floor while watching Star Wars movie one after the other.  :)  Our flight was delayed twice so I got home pretty late.

 Last weekend we went to one of Madi's friend's birthday party at the Bodyworks pool. 

 Every time I looked up from visiting Madi was at the base of the slide about to go up. 

I have no doubt she went down the slide at least 100 times.

I bet you can't guess where she wants to have her birthday party this year!

Happy Father's Day 2014!

 Madi has the best Daddy I could ever ask for her!

 She loves anything crafty so we made her Daddy MANY, MANY drawings and cards.

 She wrote about her favorite food that he makes for her (meatballs & rice) to their favorite thing to do together (skating!).

 We thought he needed a new mouse pad for his office.

 And we could never forget the annual coffee mug!

 I loved this year because she did everything from choosing the colors to painting to writing "Madi's Daddy!"  The only thing I helped with was painting her hands so she could put her hand prints on the side of the mug.

 We also bought him this nice shirt that he wore to church.

Then we spent the afternoon at the pool!

It was a perfect Father's Day weekend.

Skating & Swimming

 Madi's good friend Lauren had a skating birthday last Sunday afternoon.

 Matt and Lauren's dad like to talk accounting so they visited in between helping the girls skate.

 After the party we went up to Madi's school to help Maisen's mom move classrooms.  She taught Kindergarten next door to the girls but will move to 2nd grade in the fall.

 After moving all her stuff (and the girls running, sliding, chasing down the halls) we went to dinner at BJs.

 We had to take fun pictures outside Red Robin while we waited.

 The Daniels treated us to a yummy dinner for helping.  We love to help them any chance we get!

 Monday

 All clean and beautiful after bath!

 Wednesday is movie day followed by lunch at villa and the pool!

 Thursday was Grandpa Heider's birthday so we had to send him Happy Birthday Wishes!

 Shelle's kids, Madi, Maisen and Stephanie's daughter Margaret all came up to Tech so Stephanie's students taking Children's Literature could "practice" a read-along on real live kids!

 We had a wide range of ages and interest levels so it was great for the students!

 After playing and lunch at CFA we headed to the pool.

 Friday

 There's nothing like a good group of pool friends!

 Madi spent Thursday afternoon at Maisen's house so today Maisen came home with us so her parents could go to dinner and a movie for their anniversary.

We went to Rosa's for dinner then Holly Hops for good old fashion ice cream!

The girls want to take a bubble bath so off I go!
