Frozen on ICE!

The Monday after Spring Break is usually a tough one!
Tuesday - ready for warmer weather!
I love that I can say "honey, make the national sign language sign for butterfly" and he does it without question.  :)
Wednesday - We were all ready for our Heider Family Adventure!
Aunt Shelle sent this picture of Tripp before his UIL and sight reading choir contest.
They scored a 1!!!
Matt and I worked half a day then we picked Madi up from school and headed to the airport.
We waited while Daddy checked our bags.
Then entertained ourselves before time to board!
 Thank goodness for technology!

 It kept us entertained!

 Family pic at the airport!

In our rental car and our first stop was my favorite restaurant Pappasito's!
Then we checked into our hotel and got ready for bed.
Matt was so happy that he finally got to use the ice skates he bought the year before we met.  So he's had them for almost 12 years!
At the Galleria ready to ice skate!
Laced up and ready to go!
 He was the most excited!
All 3 ready to go out on the ice!

 Momma & Madi
 Madi & Daddy
All 3 Heiders on the ICE!
We all skated so well and surprise, surprise Matt and I didn't fall one time.
Matt can skate fast and backwards.  I'm not that adventurous but I did skate pretty fast and turned a lot.
 These two had a blast!
 And didn't want to stop!

 Here are a few videos!

After a couple of hours ice skating we did some shopping then ate lunch right by the rink so we could watch other people skate.
Then we spent the next few hours in IKEA.  I found this great set up for my sister's laundry room.
Madi thought this silverware tray would be perfect for all her food . . . spaghetti, mac 'n cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries . . .
Then we rested back at our hotel for a little while.
And we just had to have ice cream before dinner so Madi would ask "um why are we stopping for ice cream before dinner?"  Our little rule follower!
At SMASHburger sitting up stairs at the top just because!
I think this has become an "us" thing.  I think I like it.
Then we drove to Frozen on ICE in downtown Dallas.
Had to get a snow cone in an Olaf cup.
 The stage/rink was amazing.
One last family pic before the show started!
Pictures during the show just didn't come out right or do it justice!
Daddy surprised his girl with an Elsa doll.
 She was very excited!
We woke up bright and early Friday morning to catch our plane and head to work/school.
We were really tired but thankful for such a fun family adventure.
I see many more adventures in our future!

Cousin Overload!

We spent Saturday morning and early afternoon at home just reading and watching tv.
Then the cousins came over and we headed to the park at Madi's school to play.
I seriously don't know if I could love these pictures any more than I already do.
They all have authentic happy smiles since they just finished the obstacle course I made for them.
She's a mess.  That. Is. All.
 What a fun bunch!
They wanted obstacle course after obstacle course!
We went back to our house for yummy tacos!
Then everyone jumped in the tub before decorating cookies for dessert.
Saturday night slumber parties are becoming the thing at our house.
Can't pick a favorite out of these either.  Matt snapped these right before we left for church.
We had fun at church then lunch at Fazoli's before meeting up at a different park late that afternoon.
They were hot and sticky but they had so much fun.
Shelle and I enjoyed visiting and sitting in the warm sun.
These cousins sure know how to have a fun spring break!
