Christmas Week

If you know me at all, it will come at no surprise that I like to clean and organize after Christmas.
With so many new presents, everything needs its own place.  I cleaned out nearly every closet and drawer.  Madi's room was done as well.  She was happy with the result.
We also noticed that Madi never finished her cat paintings for Grandma Mayberry that she promised.  Now to start working on one for Grandma Heider . . .
Devyn came over to play with all the new toys . . . chemistry set!
 Bath bombs!
Twister wasn't new but when they got too cold playing basketball outside they had to do something indoors.
We met the cousins for lunch twice this week which was nice to visit and catch up!
Maci read to me at Chick-fila.
Tuck and Madi enjoyed having their own table. : )
On Friday, since it was so nice outside we picked up Madi's friend Gracie and spent all afternoon at the park.  I enjoyed sitting in the sun reading my book while the girls played.
This is our Friday night if at all possible!  Matt enjoyed using his new whiskey glasses and circle ice balls he got for Christmas.
Saturday morning cuddles . . . there's nothing sweeter, in my opinion, than a girl wrapped in her daddy's arms.
It was getting so cold, that we decided to go see The Greatest Showman today.  The show was great and the music was even better!  Plus having popcorn for lunch is wonderful!
We walked around the bookstore and then went to the library to all check out books.  Madi couldn't wait to start reading her books . . .
The agenda for the rest of the day is all of us reading by the fire!

Christmas Morning . . .

Matt and I woke up early enough Christmas morning to enjoy our coffee in the hot tub like normal but before long this one was up and ready to see what Santa had left for her!
She asked for a monkey so Santa left one for her by her stocking!
The gifts were many including a Star Wars perplexus, ewok, pajamas, movies for the car, neck pillow and a Stars Hockey shirt.  She was excited when we told her it was to wear to a game in Dallas next Saturday with her Daddy.  She loves any reason to fly on a plane!
This was her reaction to the ewok doll!
When she opened basketballs from us and Grandma and Grandpa Heider I think she knew she better look outside . . .

6am isn't too early for basketball, is it?
It was pretty cold so she practiced more inside.

Then with the sun out, she went out again!
The sweats Grandma and Grandpa Heider sent a while back have been perfect for playing basketball!
Then these two played two rounds of Star Wars Trivial Pursuit.  Madi won the second game!  They know their SW trivia for sure!
Uncle Jacob and Aunt Bonnie gave her the neatest chemistry set.  We did a few experiments and loved it!
It was a great Christmas day!
Madi went from one set of pjs to her new pjs that evening!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve!

Saturday, after we drove in from Roswell we went to Aunt Shelle and Uncle Cody's house for dinner.  We also played a few rounds of Clue.  Tripp and Tucker both won!
Day 24:  Fred was hanging from the dining room light and had a candy cane filled with M&Ms hanging too.  Guess he knew Madi would want those at the movies later that afternoon.
 Off to church!
After church we met the family at the movies . . .
We took a picture since we were going to separate movies!
Most chose to go see Star Wars but everyone loved the recliner seats!
These two seeing Star Wars again.  No surprise there!
Madi had to wear her Star Wars shirt and new socks from Aunt Erin and Uncle Cody. :)
Uncle Rod, Grandpa, Tripp and Tucker also chose Star Wars.
Maci, Grandma and I chose to see Ferdinand instead.
 We loved it!
We opened gifts with the cousins since they were going to visit Uncle Cody's grandparents later that evening.
Madi has been wanting a Hatchimal since last year so she was so excited!  Holly and Jolly hatched a few minutes later. :)
Love the excitement from these kiddos!
 Most of the group . . .
We went to dinner and then opened gifts some more with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Rod.
But before going to bed we had a few more things to do . . .
I can't wait to see the excitement on Madi's face Christmas morning when she sees this basketball hoop outside on the driveway!

Roswell Christmas!

We headed to Roswell right after Madi got out of school on Friday.
We had a yummy dinner and opened presents!
I purposefully didn't have my phone out a bunch so I'm glad Grandma and Grandpa had us take pictures!
We missed Jacob and Bonnie for sure!  But hope to see them soon.
Sure love this guy and his wonderful family!
Aunt Erin snapped this picture as we were loading up to leave.  This is how you always find them . . . side by side!
What a wonderful start to the Christmas weekend!

Christmas Party!

Sunday afternoon, this girl and I went on a bike ride and stopped at Cup of Yo.
 Monday
Day 18:  Fred left another scavenger hunt and a cupcake squishee for Madi.
Day 19:  Madi hid Fred in the tree.  It took me a while to find him.
 Tuesday
Day 20:  Fred did another scavenger hunt that led to some neon slime.
 Wednesday
Day 21:  Madi hid Fred behind one of her nutcrackers.
Thursday was Pirate Pride day so they had house parties which means Madi dresses in all yellow for Sigma.
I loved that Ady, Aubyn and Madi all had the same cute headbands in their house colors!
Day 22:  Fred had one last scavenger hunt that led to cute new mechanical pencils for Madi to use after Christmas break!
Friday - also known as the last day before Christmas break!
I did a little work then headed to Madi's school for her party.  They first revealed their secret Santa and the letters they wrote for each other.  Such a sweet idea!
Then they made snow!  It was really neat.
 Next up, yummy food!
Then they had a competition to see who could wrap their friend into the best snowman.  Madi's team won!
A pic with my "I've been good" girl!
Gracie's mom snapped this pic since Madi gave Gracie a dog bone as a gift for her puppy.
She had a bunch of presents wrapped this morning for her friends' . . . dogs!  Madi loves her friends but she definitely has a soft spot for animals too!
