70s Sunday School Costume Party

Friday night our Sunday School class had a 70s Costume Party!
Our church had Kids Night Out so they all played together while the adults enjoyed dinner and games.
Madi took our picture before we headed out.
Then we all took turns taking pictures at the Gonzalez's house.
Bianca & Adam were too funny!
The whole group!  We were only missing a few couples.
When we got home Madi just had to try on Matt's wig.
She's definitely a flower child!

The BIG 3-8!

Sunday evening, on our last night of the girls only weekend we rode our bikes to Cup of Yo!
Monday was Lei off Drugs for Red Ribbon Week!  Thankfully Madi went to a Hawaii themed swim party so we already had leis and a hula skirt.  :)
We were both so happy to have this guy home Monday afternoon so we could celebrate his 38th birthday!  He brought Madi home a cute lion from his hotel the MGM Grand.
I think he was definitely surprised with his gifts . . . a torch lighter for his cigars.
Comfy house shoes for the fall and winter and a new golf shirt!
Tuesday was Wild about being Drug Free!
Leah the lion wanted to get in the picture too!
Tuesday evening we met Grandma Mayberry, Uncle Rod, Aunt Shelle and the cousins at Rib Crib to celebrate Matt's 38th birthday and Uncle Rod's 43rd birthday!

 Me and the birthday boy!
 Bunny ears!
Wednesday was Buddy Up against Drugs so Madi and her friend Devyn dressed alike!
They both wore a messy bun too!
I covered a class for one of my site coordinators that teachers her class at Madi's school.
It was fun walking in to school together Wednesday morning.  :)
I spied on her in science class as I was leaving.  She saw me though and had to come give me a hug and a kiss!
Adam sent this to me in case I hadn't seen how Matt was GLOWING in Vegas!  I'm so glad he shared it!
Wednesday night we ate at church real quick then took Madi to meet up with Grandma Mayberry and cousins for a Trunk or Treat.  They had a blast!
My breakfast crew!

Thursday was Put Drugs to Sleep day so she wore fuzzy pajamas!
 Madison's self-portrait
Friday was Pink Out day for Pink-tober!
I'm not sure our week could have been any busier!

Girls Only Weekend!

While Matt and Adam flew to Vegas to meet up with Don for a guys weekend . . .
And Matt opened his birthday gift from Adam (since a certain pride parade was in town that weekend too) . . .
And of course the hat had to go as well . . .
Madi and I enjoyed a super fun and busy GIRLS ONLY weekend!
It started with a fun birthday part at the Mud Room Saturday morning.
Then she played at Gracie's house all afternoon before I picked her up and we headed to Aunt Shelle's house.
Grandma joined us too as we headed to the Corn Maize.
The cow train is always a hit.

Then we headed into the maze . . .
Maci's friend Kambrie joined us too.

Aunt Shelle, Grandma and I just followed along . . .

We stopped every once and while to make sure we were going the right way.
We made it half way finally!
Then we finally found the end of the maze and took a few pictures after shooting off the corn cannon.

Last up was the hay ride out into the pumpkin patch where we all hopped off and picked our own pumpkin.  It's fun to actually cut your pumpkin off the vine.
We worked up quite an appetite so Rosa's for dinner was up next.
Sunday morning, Madi was finding the verse her Daddy wrote in her new bible.
We took a selfie to show we dressed alike in our plaid shirts!

After church, we met the Foley's since their dad is in Vegas too at Tokyo for lunch.
We love places that cook on the table in front of you!
 They watched him very closely.
The fire always comes as a surprise even though you know it's coming!
We spent the rest of the afternoon at Legacy Play Village.
We didn't have a moment of free time but we still missed our guy!  Thankfully he came home just in time to celebrate his birthday!
