Grandma's 66th Birthday!

We began the weekend celebration of Grandma's 66th birthday by watching Into the Woods, Jr. at the amphitheater Friday morning.
It was extremely hot but we all enjoyed the show!

We were all thankful for umbrellas!
We killed some time before lunch shopping at KK's.  Madi informed me she wants a type writer that works so she can type on it.  :)
Then we all enjoyed lunch at 50th St. Caboose!
Well, the kids enjoyed the games and prizes the most!

Summer days!

We saw a full rainbow Monday night on the way to Lauren's birthday party!
Madi loved swimming at Lauren's new house for her birthday!
They obviously had a blast and Matt and I enjoyed date night at Aspen Creek while they were celebrating!
Tuesday - Maci wanted to spend the night with us since both of her brothers were away with friends.
We played at the park before Madi's swim practice.
Then we did a little shopping for dinner at Market St.  Both girls enjoyed their free fruit for kids program by snacking on an apple while we shopped.
Then it was girl night in the hot tub while Matt golfed.
Madi showed Maci how to water her plants.  Madi has tried before (and obviously is trying again) to start a new plant like Grandpa Heider said by putting a leaf in some water.  We'll see how it goes!
Thursday was Kids Day Out Thursday at church.
They spent the day at Joyland and had a blast!

Celebrating!

Saturday night we headed to Post to celebrate our friend Adam's 40th Birthday!
Bianca surprised him by renting out the entire Garza Hotel where we went for the Murder Mystery weekend back in April for all of his college and new friends.
We enjoyed a great dinner then went around telling how we knew Adam and a special or funny story.
I think he liked the gift we gave him since it was off of his Amazon wish list!

Then we all enjoyed the band Spur 327 (that our friend Tyge plays in!) playing outside on the patio.  I danced with this cute guy!
A few shots of the amazing old hotel . . .
The long hallway of suites . . .
This cutie spent the evening with Grandma Mayberry.
They love eating at Furr's when they're together.
A great time was had by ALL!

Kurbside!

Friday ended up being such a fun day!  We enjoyed sleeping in and relaxing most of the morning.
Then we met the cousins at the duck pond to get rid of the extra hamburger and hot dog buns from last weekend.
They had so much fun making sure all the ducks got some bread.
Then we ate lunch at Chick-fila and played at the pool for a few hours.
After the pool we all met at Kurbside Treats to enjoy one of their amazing ice cream sandwiches!
You pick the type of cookie and the type of ice cream you want.
All of the combinations were so yummy!

This is a short video of Madi diving at swim practice this week.
Her dives keep getting better and better!

Horse Camp

This is GV's stance anytime we are in the hot tub.
Cute notes with money paying you back for something she wanted at the store!
 Family walk/bike ride Sunday evening!
Monday morning we were dressed and ready for the first day of horse camp!
The horses were all lined up as we arrived!

The peacocks roam free so it was not surprising that we had to wait quite a while for this one to pass.
When I picked her up Monday afternoon they were playing a team building game on this balancing thing.
She was NOT ready to go!
Grandma wanted to tag along to pick her up so she could hear all about it!
She wanted us to meet Josie, her favorite horse already.
She told us as we drove away that she wants a horse but she knows Daddy will say no!
We grabbed a sweet treat with Grandma then met two friends Lauren and Maisen at Clay Cafe.
We've never done one of their raw clay classes so Madi wanted to try it out.
They were making clay masks like this one.  She ended up making many different things out of the clay.
We all plan to go back and paint together once their pieces are out of the kiln.
Ready for day two of horse camp!
She's even more excited on day two since she knows how much fun she'll have!
Another peacock blocking our way . . .
She was definitely tired after horse camp, the pool then swim practice!
 Day 3
The drive is beautiful.  We have to cross a concrete bridge to get there.
They were playing another fun team building game when I picked her up.  They had to get each person through the strings on this structure to the other side without any of the clips falling off.  They were holding and passing the kids through the strings!
Wednesday afternoon, Stephanie and Margaret met us at the pool.  We've missed seeing them so it was nice to catch up!
Last day of horse camp.  She was already sad that it was almost over.
The scenery is so pretty that I had to take pictures to remember it.
There used to be the County Line restaurant on the property that my family would go to often for celebrations like graduations.  I remember seeing the peacocks then too and walking across this bridge as we waited for our table to be ready.
The kids put on a show for us so we could see what they had learned throughout the week.

They got to see the newest little horse too.
Before the show began, they had to finish the chores.  Cleaning up the horse poop!
First, Madi rode Penny.  They walked around and completed an obstacle course then trotted with them.
Then she rode her favorite horse Josie.
 Sampson
Sarai
Madi took a picture of the flowers she picked while they went on a trail ride.
I videoed all of her rides but they're too long to show on here.

The camp posted pictures on their Facebook page throughout the week.
They painted a horse . . .
 Such a cute cowgirl!
 Definitely a happy smile!
I LOVE this picture.  I think it's one I need to print and frame.
Group picture in their camp shirts!
Madi loved this camp!  It was well put together and definitely high quality.
