Corn Maze

We invited Grandma (who was in town for a doctor appointment) and Uncle Rod to go along with us to the corn maze this year.

3 Silly Little Pumpkins
We went one evening and had the nicest weather.
And it wasn't crowded which was SO nice!
Madi and Grandma's favorite part (BY FAR!) was the animal section.

After seeing all the animals, we headed into the maze.
We picked the pre-school questions so Madi could answer them and help direct us on which way to go.  It's really neat as they have all kinds of questions, sports, trivia, bible, etc.
And you could even text for directions.
But we didn't need to text because we had Madi leading the way!
At first, she wasn't too sure which way to go.
It took us about an hour and a half of easy walking.  We only saw two other people in the maze the whole time we were there.
We all had a great time and can't wait to go again next year!

Roller Blading

I told Matt we should get our roller blades down and go riding with Madi on her bike.  I knew she would think that was fun!
Matt bought my first pair of roller blades while we were dating and I don't think we've gone skating since we had Madison.  So I wasn't too sure how I'd do!
I did okay!  No pictures though since I'm always behind the camera.  I only fell once.

Then Madi grabbed the camera while we were taking a break and these are her pictures . . .
It was neat to look at what things she found interesting enough to take a picture of.

Who knows?  Maybe she'll be a photographer!

It's Fair Time!

Last weekend, we went to the fair with my sister and her kids and her sister-in-law Jen and her kids.
Whew!  Basically it was a bunch of kids!
Here's Madi & Tuck!
We had the whole group sit on the trailer behind them for a picture until we realized the trailer was starting to go to the ground!
So we had them jump up real quick and say CHEESE!
We always look at the animals first.
That way we keep them interested until the rides open.
Sweet Tripp (there's NO way he's really in 4th grade already!)
All the kids said this bird had curly hair like Madi so we had to take a picture of the two of them together.
They all petted some sheep, goats, donkeys, cows, . . .
Tucker was the only one unsure about all the animals, especially the baby chicks and baby ducks.
Can you tell he's not too sure about this?

After we ate some lunch it was time to get the kids' wrist bands!
 And
 Ride
 Some
 Rides!

They all had a blast and didn't want to leave but you could tell how tired they all were.  We did some shopping then headed home for baths and naps.
Later that evening Madi drew a picture of her and Tuck on the rides at the fair.  We sent it to Tucker so he could see too.  Aunt Shelle said I needed to keep that to show them when they get older!

Golf Cart & More!

As if Aunt Shelle & Uncle Cody's house couldn't get more fun for Madison, they went and bought a golf cart!
Now her visits to their house include a ride around the neighborhood.  And even more crying when it is time to leave and head home!

Madi is so lucky to have her Daddy as a playmate.  He just jumps right in and plays along with whatever she comes up with!
I made a copy of the picture of Madi and her three puppies from last summer for her to take to school one day.  Her teacher wanted us to fill a bag with things that are important to Madi.  Well, her 3 puppies sure make the list!
After we brought the picture back home, Madi copied it on her white board.
I was pretty impressed with the details of the fence.  She put each of their initials by them too.
The best part of the picture though is if you look closely you'll see that Madi has ears just like her puppies.  :)

Monday - Friday

Thank goodness my phone has a camera because I'm such a sucker for "Mom, lets take a picture before school."  EVERY. MORNING.   I guess it's because the first three years of her life she wouldn't look at me or let me take a picture for anything!

So here's our week . . .

Monday

 Tuesday

Wednesday

Thursday

Friday
I think when the weather gets colder we'll be taking less pictures so I'll enjoy it while I can.  :)

Soccer Playin' Tuck!

Tucker started playing soccer this fall.
And Matt and I both said "we have GOT to see this!"
He's already so competitive and hot headed that we just knew it'd be fun to watch.
 Well, he did not disappoint!
He hustles out to his spot. . .
He's the first one to start running. . .
After he makes a goal he runs right back to his spot . . .
 And he doesn't stop playing . . .
Tuck is in heaven out on that field.
When it was his turn to sit out he was so upset and didn't know why he couldn't play.
And when I clapped for the other team he quickly let me know that "No, Sherre!  We're not the orange team!"
We all had a blast watching him and his team mates win their first soccer game.
And Aunt Shelle says that he wants to wear his jersey every chance he gets.
So, I'm sure the Heiders will be out on the field watching many more games in the coming weeks.
The look on his face says it all!
Go Rattlers!
