Hair Clips?

Madi found these clips while we were going through Matt's (and mine) math stuff from school.

Guess she thought they were hair clips!
Pretty cute!

What's better than one swing . . . ?

TWO SWINGS!
At the same time.
Or at least Madison thought so!

Matt watched Madi and Tucker while Aunt Shelle, Aunt Erin and I had our annual girls day.
They rented Toy Story 3 and had a "movie" day at home complete with popcorn and candy.
Matt took these pictures so we could see their day!

Baking Cookies

We made some cake cookies to take out to Aunt Bevie's last Monday for a little Mother's Day playdate. We tried red velvet this time since it's her favorite.

Madi got her apron on and washed her hands . . .
She's ready!
First we mixed all the ingredients together . . .
Then we had to stir and stir . . . the hard part!
I made the dough into balls and Madi rolled them in the powdered sugar.
She wasn't too sure what to think when they were hot out of the oven . . .
But once she tasted one it was much better!

We brought lunch, cookies and the potholders Madi and Tucker made for Aunt Bevie and had a playdate at her house. The kids love her toys and it gives us a chance to visit!

Ironing

If only the iron was real . . .
She would definitely have a great day job around here!

Well Deserved Popsicles!

After planting flowers all afternoon we took a popsicle break!

Madi & Daddy
No one else exists when Madi has her Daddy. That's the way it should be I suppose!
Madi & Mommy
I'm trying to hand my camera over to Matt more often so Madi will actually have a few pictures of her mom as she's growing up.

Planting Flowers

We've made a yearly tradition of planting flowers on or near Mother's Day.

Here's our little planter . . .
She had to sniff the flowers . . .
She helped her Daddy turn the soil. And loved finding worms!
Daddy showed her how to carefully get the flowers out of the carton.
Then she helped place them in the hole and cover them up with soil.

After all 11 were planted it was time to water.

She was so proud of her hard work!

Every day since we planted the flowers, she has gone outside and said "I just love my flowers!"

Mother's Day

Madi made me the cutest picture and teapot with a teabag in it at church on Mother's Day.
I also had her decorate potholders for her grandmas and me.
Tuck decorated a set for his mom too.
Madi still likes to take her shirt off when using markers. I didn't argue this time since they were fabric markers and wouldn't come out if she got some on her.
We had a "Donuts with Mom" morning for Tucker to have breakfast with his mom at our house and for him to give her a present.
He was so proud of his work!
Matt took a few pictures before church Sunday morning.
Me and the sweet girl that made me a mom . . .
It was awfully bright but Madison still smiled for us.

I am so blessed to be this little girl's mom EVERYDAY!

Park Time

Some park time was much overdue.
I took the kids to a park Friday morning so they could run off some energy.
I can't believe they both looked at me AND actually smiled!
Tucker was all about the slide!
Madison was so proud when she mastered this spiral climbing structure.

Then we headed closer to the water to see if the ducks would come for some bread. And boy did they!
Here's Madi wanting more bread . . .
Tucker calls ducks chickens for some reason. He always has. It's too funny.
Once we were out of bread I told them to run or the ducks would come after us . . . believe me they will!
Then we headed to the library to read a few books and check a few out for the weekend!

Madi Moments

I made a little gift for each of my student teachers at the end of the semester. I put stickers in their gifts and Madi got the leftover sheet.
She went to town and had all of them on her arm in no time!

Most Saturday nights you can find us heading to Cold Stone for a little ice cream.
We all take a bath/shower and get in our jammies.
It's become such a fun tradition that Madi always asks if it's Saturday yet!
