More Earrings!

Madi and Joleigh have been wanting to get their third ear and cartilage piercings for a while now.  They even made a presentation to show us all the reasons, pros, cons, etc.
It's just an earring that can close up so we said sure.  Joleigh was so sweet to hold her hand.  She said it didn't really hurt.

All done!

Then it was Joleigh's turn so Madi held her hand too!
Admiring their new earrings!
Now I guess we go buy more earrings!

Father's Day 2023

We started Father's Day weekend with a Father's Day Feast on Saturday with the Norrises, Renos, Devitts and Wintons!

The kids all hung out while the adults mostly swam!
Then we took some pictures after church Sunday morning!

I decided to get in on the fun since Madi and I unintentionally matched that morning!

Then we went to the DMV parking lot so we could teach Madi how to parallel park! She was a quick learner!
Then we went out to the Rawl's course and hit balls.  Madi says she wants to play golf at her new high school.  Ah! We'll see!

After the driving range, we had a fun family competition on the putting green!  Matt won every time!
A week ago, Madi and I went to Clay Cafe so she could paint her dad's annual Father's Day mug.

Her one handprint barely fits on it now!
I did some work while she got creative!
Opening his mug . . .
He loved it as usual!  Madi said she'll keep making them for him even after she graduates.
Matt thought about going to a movie but didn't see anything he was excited to watch so he decided to cook us steak and shrimp for dinner.  We didn't complain!
So, we played a little Blackjack while the steaks were cooking!
We love celebrating our guy every day!

Coaching Summer League!

We met the cousins for lunch at 50th Street one day last week.  Madi had fun playing games with Maci and Tucker.
We also volunteered by delivering meals for Meals on Wheels!
It was super fun and easy!

All last week, Madi coached a 7th grade summer league team with Emily and Ava.

I think she was a little unsure of coaching at first since only 3 had ever played volleyball before, but she ended up loving it!  They won all their pool games and lost their second bracket game!
Coach Anderson is getting us excited about the new school!

After a long week of coaching volleyball, we enjoyed some pool time . . .
The Foleys even came over one afternoon!  We haven't seen them in a while.
And then ate some pizza at Capital!

These summer weeks sure are fun but they are going fast!
