Christmas 2022

Christmas morning, Madi opened up her gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Heider and the Dodson cousins . .. 

Then it was stocking time! 

Poor Tripp . . . this is what he thought of his stocking!

After all the fun, Matt made us all a yummy brunch on his blackstone!  We had bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits, gravy, and pancakes! 

Madi had to try out her heatless curler!

We spent the rest of the day in our PJs relaxing and playing games! 

Then we had to get out of the house on Monday so after putting away decorations and running a few errands, we met our friends for dinner! 

It was a wonderful Christmas!  But thankfully we still have two weeks of no school! 

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning, we celebrated with a brunch with Morgan and Tim since they had other places to be that evening and Christmas day.  

It was fun spending time with the newlyweds but they gave us the best gift of all!  Baby Moreno will be joining us next year! 

It was cold, but Uncle Rod and Maci were nice enough to take the girls on a little walk since they had been cooped up for days!

Then it was time for some cookie decorating before going to church. 

Poor Tripp just had deviated septum surgery so he didn't feel up to decorating cookies!

After church, we all went to Bubba's for dinner then to our house to open gifts. 

Grandpa brought these fun flying globes that provided a lot of entertainment for us all!

We ended the night with a few fun Christmas games that had us all laughing!

It was a great night with family!

The Hood & Levelland Christmas!

We celebrated Christmas with our Levelland friends the Wednesday before Christmas with dinner at Funky Door. 

We went back to the Foley's house for our annual White Elephant gift exchange.  It has to be something from your house so it's always a good time with lots of laughs! 

Carrie's dessert was on fire!

No pics of the kids but they eat at the Foley's house and did their own gift exchange! 

December 22:  Fred left money for the cousins to play Left Right Center!

Christmas vacay calls for an afternoon in the hot tub!

Madi went to a slumber party Wednesday night too!

At The Hood Christmas party, the kids played Left Right Center and the adults enjoyed a yummy pulled pork dinner!

December 23:  Fred brought tons of candy for our family movie day.  We met Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Rod and all the cousins for a movie day at the mall theater. 

Madi and I aren't too much for movies especially long ones like Avatar so about half way through we looked at each other and decided to go shopping!

A little cousin Left Right Center . . . 

December 24:  Fred hid the candy canes for the cousins this time since they were visiting. 

We're ready for all the Christmas Eve festivities! 

New Car!

Matt and I went on a day date this past Tuesday just to spend some time together before Christmas! 

We enjoyed brunch then I told him let's go look at cars since we haven't decided what we wanted to do about a car for Madi.  I still like my car a lot and it's only 5 years old.  We saw quite a few that we knew Madi would like so we brought her back to the lot after picking her up from school. She fell in love with the black Audi (like I knew she would!).  She said it's her dream car and she can't believe she gets to drive it! 

We took it overnight and on a few test drives to make sure it was a good fit. 

She named it Maverick so I think it's safe to say she wants to keep it!

Thankful for our third bay so we can all park together. Now I bet she really wants October 17, 2023 to get here even faster than before!  :)
