Mother/Daughter Pajama Party

Friday night was the Mother/Daughter Pajama Party at our church.
They have it every year on the last Friday of January and it's always a special time.
Even though I was a little under the weather I still enjoyed the evening with my girl.

While their paintings dried, we listened to a wonderful worship time about Matthew 5:16.
 Finished product!
We put the condensed verse on it once we were home that evening.  It's ready to go on her wall!
Saturday morning, Madi helped Daddy cut down a tree and saw it into logs so it would fit in the dumpster.
 She's not just a pretty face! :)
Then we headed to see A Dog's Purpose at Alamo Drafthouse.  Popcorn for lunch, why not?
Then we went to the Tech tennis tournament to support Devyn's dad who is the head Men's Tennis coach at Tech.  Madi spent the rest of the afternoon at Devyn's house playing.
I was still feeling a little under the weather so this is how I spent my Saturday night right next to our heater on the porch.
We signed up to bring donuts for our Sunday School class's social so we had to enjoy one on the way to church!
Aunt Shelle bought this dress for Madi so we wanted to be sure and get a picture of it to show her how thankful we are to her!
Matt's golfing this afternoon while I get our house in order for another fun week!  Thankfully I'm in town this week though.

In Orlando

I left Sunday afternoon for an inspection in Orlando at the University of Central Florida.
I left cute little Valentine gifts for the days I was away.
Monday was pajama day at Madi's school as well as her dentist appointment.  She said they asked her about her clothes!
 Tuesday was Cowgirl day.
We try to Facetime every morning I'm away while they're eating breakfast.  Here she was trying to offer me a piece of our favorite pear.  Go try a Comice pear if you haven't already.
 Wednesday
I love inspections but I do hate being away from home so long.  Teachlive demonstrations like these make it a little more enjoyable.  UCF created this system and is conducting research on it.  I can see it going far in teacher prep.
I came back Thursday night and they forgot a picture that morning.
Friday
I went into the office for a little while on Friday to get a few things done so I could enjoy my weekend.

Busy, Busy Weekend!

Friday night we dropped the kids off at Kids Night Out at church then went to Trapped! and dinner with the Foleys.  It was such a fun night!
Saturday morning, Madison, Devyn and her brother Jaxon went to a Yoda painting class.
I went and did some shopping for my upcoming inspection but they weren't quite done when I returned to pick them up.
 Finished products!
We met the cousins for lunch then ran to an ice cream shop for one of my friend's surprise baby shower.  Then Maci asked if she could come home to play with us.
Saturday night we met my cousins for January/February birthday celebrations at 50th Street.
The kids love the games and we love visiting with each other!
 My hot date!
The girl table - Madison, Maci, Kiran & Elora (my cousin Klay's twin girls).
Sunday after church, Madi opened her Alexa.
She's been wanting one for quite a while now to ask the weather, set as her alarm and much more!

Short Week!

Madi and I were both off Monday so we met Stephanie and Margaret at Altitude so these girls could play and we could catch up.  After working up an appetite, we ate lunch at Rosa's.
 Tuesday
 Wednesday
Coming home from work on Wednesday, I see a 5 car pile up and then drive right next to a helicopter.  Strange day!
Matt modeled some sweaters for me at Old Navy.  Good thing he's an accountant for his day job.  :)
 Thursday
 Friday
I'm taking my final class (before qualifying exams and dissertation) and it's the first time I bought books from the book store since undergrad.
I wasn't even sure where the bookstore was anymore.  Thankfully I found it!

Back at it!

We've been teaching Madi a lot of new games that we like to play.  Gin and Phase 10 to name a few.  It sure it nice to sit by the fire and play a game as a family.
Friday the 6th I headed into work to welcome our new student teachers to orientation.  Of course, it started to snow!
We enjoyed our last weekend with some family games including introducing Madi to Monopoly!
 I think she likes it!
After Christmas break and a quick Vegas trip, we were ready for our routine to return Monday morning.
 Tuesday

Sure is nice to see our programs getting recognition!
 Wednesday
 Thursday
 Friday
We finally got Matt's CPA license framed and up in his office!  He's officially official!
Friday evening crafts . . . poster of foods for her lunch!
I took Noodle to get an evaluation at the vet Friday afternoon and was very thankful that she received a good bill of health.  She's old but healthy!
I didn't play Monopoly as a kid so I finally let Matt and Madi rope me into a game Saturday morning.  They both did a good job of teaching me all the rules.
Saturday afternoon we braved the cold rain and met Devyn and her family at the skating rink for a few hours of fun.
 Madi & Devyn

Saturday night Madi spent the night with Devyn.  It was the first time for her to spend the night with someone other than a family member.  Matt and I enjoyed dinner out at Aspen Creek and then rented The Accountant to watch at home.
Sunday after church, Maisen came over to play, make videos, and decorate book marks.
Madi and I both have Monday off so our weekend continues!
