Future Scientist!

 Madi got our her science kit this past weekend to do some experiments.

 Safety first!  :)

 We did the penny experiment in lemon juice and water to compare the results but her favorite by far is the volcano. 

 She has the steps and amounts of each ingredient memorized.

 She usually wants one of us to pour in the vinegar but she was brave this time and did it herself.

 After church we had our monthly lunch date with the Fords at Dion's pizza. 

 Then at the pool Shay gave Matt a surprise!  A diet coke with his name on it!

 Monday morning Adyson and Aubyn came over to play.

 They wanted to see the volcano experiment too!  Then we met their mom at Chick-fila for lunch.  We stayed for over 3 hours!

 We got to swim practice a little early so we had time to go to the park. 

Grandma's 64th Birthday Party!

 Chicke and Noodle helped Grandma open her presents Friday afternoon before we headed to her party.

Maci helped entertain Elora and Kiran at our house while we had cake and ice cream from Nothing Bundt Cakes (Grandma's favorite!).

Safety City!

  Friday morning we met Uncle Cody, Aunt Shelle & kids plus the Daniel girls at Safety City.

We sent Matt a car selfie to let him know we wish he could join us.

 They found and climbed the perfect tree!

 The "city" had a walking bridge over the interstate for pedestrians only.

   Maci sped around all the corners and didn't really pay attention to the stop signs and stop lights.  :)

 

Riley & Maygen were adorable on their big kid bikes! 

 

  The city also had different kinds of businesses and stores that they played in.

 Grandma and Grandpa Mayberry got to town right as we were about to leave so they stopped by to watch the kids ride their bikes.

 Grandma even got on a bike and rode around giving us all quite a scare!

  Matt brought Madi here a while back but it was my first time and we LOVED it!

It was the best way to spend a summer morning!

Dives!

Madison dives off the block at swim and has started to dive at the pool as well.

This past week I asked her to try a back dive.  She wasn't too sure at first but with a little encouragement from Aunt Shelle she did it on her first try.

I wasn't at the best angle to get the video of her dives but I wanted this for her keepsake bucket.

She's definitely a natural around the water!

Growing a Garden!

Grandpa Heider brought Madi a bunch of tomato plants a few months back.

 They visited last weekend to bring us some more of their garden goodies and to check on Madi's tomato plants. 

 Monday we met the Daniel girls at Blue Sky for lunch and to play in the sand box then we spent the afternoon shopping just me and Madi.

  I get "cool mom points" just by sitting at the top of the bleachers at swim Monday night. 

 We tried out a Pinterest idea for a mug for Grandma Mayberry's upcoming birthday.

 Madi decorated the mug with Sharpies then we baked it in the oven for 30 minutes.  Excited to see if it works!

  We have a big trip planned for December so we got out the map to show Madi where we'll be traveling to.

Wednesday morning we saw the movie Walking with Dinosaurs.

 Thursday was the last day of Kid's Day Out at church.  They went to Main Event and then played on the huge water slide at church while eating snow cones.

 Hadley's mom sent me this of her daughter and Madi at the last KDO at Joyland last week!

 After Kid's Day Out we went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate Jake's 6th birthday. 

 

 Madi picked fangs and a hair extension as her prizes.

She was growling and biting Maisen all afternoon long!
