Mom Award???

My sister and I should get some kind of MOM AWARD after the fun filled Saturday we had! My sister had Morgan, Tripp, Tucker and their neighbor friends Tristan and Jacob.
*We started at the library where each kid had fun picking out books to read.
*Then we headed to Bahama Bucks for snow cones.
*We then played at Legacy Play Village. It was HOT!!!
*Then we ended our fun filled day with lunch at Rosas. They have the best food and kid meals.
We all had a great day but no one was as ready for nap time as Shelle and me!

I snapped a few pics before we headed to the pool one day last week.
Madison was making all sorts of faces and poses.

The girl loves her G2!

We headed to the pool on Sunday so Matt could see how much Madi has improved. But of course I forgot to get any pictures of Matt or Madi. But I did snap two of Tucker being funny with his brother's goggles on.

Happy Father's Day!

Madison giving her Daddy a big SMOOCH for Father's Day!
Two Tanned Cuties!
Our little family of 3
Matt loved the card Madi and I made for him. I uploaded some pictures of the two of them to crayola.com and printed them as color pages. Madi had fun coloring pictures of herself and her Daddy.

He got two books for Father's Day . . . Plan B and Bringing up Girls.
She sure LOVES her Daddy!
And her Daddy sure loved his two shirts.
But his favorite present was his 3rd annual coffee mug of course! Probably because it has Madi's handprints on it. We're going to need a display case of some sort to store the past years mugs.
As part of her gift Madi "helped" cut her Daddy's hair. He actually let me turn it on when I gave it to her. She didn't do half bad either!
So serious . . .
Such a ham . . .
Loving the attention . . .
Thinking she's such a big girl cutting Daddy's hair . . .
My parents came down for a little Father's Day celebration. We started by having dinner at Lujans on Friday then the guys went to a poker game. Saturday morning they had an early tee time at Rawls then we grilled hamburgers for lunch and had cake and ice cream.
Grandpa and his Grandkids!
Grandma and Grandpa with all the kiddos.
All of us kids with our Dad!
The "origianl" fam!
(I think we were all laughing at Tucker dancing in this pic!)
My sister's family
(This was the ONLY picture I got of them without the picture hogger Madi jumping in with them. It was too funny! I'd get ready to take their picture and notice she snuck in beside Uncle Cody. She really thinks she's part of their family too!)
Happy Father's Day!

Curious George!

Madi saw her first movie in the movie theater last Wednesday. We saw Curious George and it was adorable even for the adults. She wasn't much for the popcorn but she loved sipping her coke and sat still for the entire movie (besides a bathroom break of course). I was impressed that she was following the story and would make comments every once and a while about what was going on in the movie.
Outside the theater . . .
Lydia, Nora, Tripp (yes with a mohawk that yours truly gave him ;)), Madison & Tucker
Inside the theater. . .
Madi's holding her little kid box . . . it was filled with popcorn, candy and her drink was inside with a hole for her straw. Too cute! I've never seen anything like it before.
This is the best I could get inside the theater (before the movie started of course).
Although Matt was golfing while we saw the movie he was proud of our awesome seats!
Shelle went ahead and got our seats while we ordered snacks. She knows Matt well enough to know that the only place to sit is . . .
5th row up, dead center!
That's the only way Matt will go to the movies!

We can't wait to go again next week!

Our Pool Peeps!

We are loving our pool this summer!
We have a big group of friends that are also members so it makes each day so much fun.
Here's Tristan, Morgan, Jacob, Tripp and Tate with Tucker and Madison in front.

Tucker and Madi are so good about wearing their hats at all times in the pool.
Tripp and his neighbor buddies!
Shelle and I started a new tradition this summer . . . I cook on Tuesday nights for everyone and she cooks Thursday nights for everyone. It works out great! It's so much more fun to cook/grill for a big group than just us. A friend of mine gave me this little splash pad last year so we got it out and they had a blast running through it - clothes on and all!

Tripp showed the little ones how to run through it!

We always try to get a group picture of the cousins but it never seems to work out too well. I just had to post a few of these to show how it went.
At first, not too bad. Tripp held on to Madi and Morgan was trying to get Tucker's attention.
Then Tucker made a break for it . . .
And he's GONE ! ! !
The look on his face makes me laugh as I type this. He was so proud to get away!
Popsicles while running through the splash pad . . . ahhh Kid Heaven!

Funny story I just have to post - Tuck's diaper was HUGE from all the water so we let him go without. Well, his 18 month shorts are meant for a huge diaper in back so they kept sagging no matter how much we rolled them or he held them up. It was too funny! Finally he gave up trying and just played bare butt and all!
So far we LOVE our new summer tradition!

Yea! Summer!

Tripp spent the day with us last Friday and the little ones had so much fun playing with him.

(Yes, Madi is still in her pajamas. I change her after their first outside time in the morning.)
Tripp was such a good sport playing with Madi and Tucker.

"come here Chicke . . . "
"Gotcha . . ."
Here's Madi right before our first pool day. Don't let that face fool you she had SO MUCH FUN at the pool!

She is such a little swimmer already!
