Accounting Recognition Banquet

 No rest for me!

 Flew in Thursday at 3pm and we were at Matt's scholarship award's banquet at 7pm. 

 It was fun to dress up and watch him receive his two awards.

 The dinner was wonderful and I'm so proud of his accomplishments!

While I was away . . .

 Monday

 Last weekend, Madi and I cleaned out her dress up clothes closet and gave the small stuff to Maci.

 Based on these pictures sent to us, I'd say Maci loves the clothes!

 Matt wasn't feeling well Wednesday night so they sent me this picture of them snuggled up on the couch. 

 Madi texted me asking what I was doing. 

 So I sent her these pictures of the beautiful outside dinner we were having with the other 5 universities involved in our grant.

 Thursday - Loved getting this picture since I knew I'd see her soon!

 I sent these two pictures to Matt to let him know that this was as close as I'd get to Vegas. 

 He had no reason to be jealous!

 I went straight from the airport to Madi's tumbling.

 She did great as usual!

 I think she liked the prickly pear cactus sucker I brought her back from Phoenix.  :)

So thankful for work trips but so thankful to come back home!

Weekend Fun!

 Friday night after dinner we took a long walk around the neighborhood.

 It's so nice to walk and watch her ride her bike. 

 Saturday morning we were lazy then ran some errands.

 We invited Riley and her mom and sister to Science Spectrum for the afternoon so Matt could study.

 Then the cousins came over for the night while Aunt Shelle and Uncle Cody went to a concert. 

 Sunday after church they held the Back to Church fellowship.

 We ate hamburgers and hotdogs and got balloon animals! (or swords or flowers!)

 Tucker was the first one brave enough to climb the rock wall.

 He made it all the way to the top!

 Madi didn't want to attempt the rock wall at first.

 Then she decided to give it a try.

 After the picnic I headed to the airport to spend the week in Phoenix.

Madi and Daddy made her favorite meatballs and rice for dinner and sent me this picture.

Busy, busy week!

 While I was dress shopping Sunday afternoon, Madi decided to make a few Christmas decorations.  Because it's only a few months away, you know!

 Monday

 Monday night at swim diving off the block . . .

 After swim we met Matt for dinner then went to watch Tripp's football game.  

They played Matt's old team OL so it was fun to watch.

 I caught Madi mid-blink but these two had so much fun watching Tripp play!

 Tuesday

 Grandma and the cousins came to watch Madi at swim.  Then we ate dinner at Chili's!

 Future Red Raider?  She asked for this picture and did her "guns up!" on her own!

 We did survive Wednesday but no pictures for proof!  The morning got away from us!

 Friday

 I brought lunch for Madi and Maisen sat with us.  

Raising Canes gave a memory game in the kid meal so these two got in two rounds before time to head to recess!

 Friday after school I took Madi, Maisen and Allison to Stripes for a "let's start the weekend!" treat!

 I'm traveling again next week so we plan to spend a lot of time together this weekend relaxing!
