Enjoying Summer!

While between trips this week, we decided to just relax and enjoy summer!
Madi just loves making meatballs and rice for dinner!
This girl has been saving her money so when the airpods went on sale during Amazon Prime day she snatched them up!
The cousins came to town for dentist appointments so they spent the night and we went to Texas Water Rampage on Tuesday.

We went to lunch to visit with Kennedy since she's back from her mission trip to an orphanage in Africa.  After lunch she treated Madi and Maci to a Frio Pop!
Then we went to The Cakery to decorate 80s themed cookies!

Our neighbor, Heidi's, grandkids were having a lemonade stand so Madi and Maci went by to buy some goodies.
Wednesday night we went to the Foley's house to plan our upcoming Durango trip.
On Thursday, I went up to work for a while.  I came home to Maci still in PJs at 2:30pm.  That just screams summer time to me!
Madi and Maci also put together the huge amusement park Lego set.  Madi was being silly and wouldn't look at me when she smiled.
Maci wanted to go in the hot tub and watch her shows!
We met Elly's, Emerson's and Devyn's families at the pool on Friday.
I wanted a picture even though it was so bright to remember that we actually went to the pool this summer since it was only our second time.

Friday night was patio night and of course I made them play Clue with me!
We love our Friday patio nights!

Lake Amistad!

All the moms and kids from the Heiders, Foleys and Gibbs' families loaded up and headed to Del Rio to spend the week at Lake Amistad.
We were such the site . . . 3 moms, 8 kids and 4 grocery baskets!
We had a produce basket, cold food basket and dry food basket.
Jennifer didn't feel too well so thankfully Gabe didn't mind pushing her around while the rest of us shopped.

Everyone helped out and we were in and out in no time!

We couldn't believe the long receipt!  But it was feeding 6 adults and 8 kids for 3-4 days!
We barely got to the house and unloaded the groceries before the kids were riding around on the 3 mules/bobcats.
 Their land is so pretty.
And the lake it so clear that it looks like beach water.

First night on the patio!  Sadly, Jennifer still wasn't feeling well so she was inside resting.

The guys came later since they worked part of the day so we took the kids down to the lake for a quick night swim.
Not too much longer and Matthew was down too just like Jennifer!
Matt and I woke up early each morning so we could enjoy coffee on the patio overlooking the lake.  It was beautiful and peaceful.
It wasn't too long before we had cute visitors.
Playing cornhole in your pajamas!  What fun!
We loaded up the mules after breakfast to head to the boat.  Unicorn floaties and all!
The kids loved jumping off the top of the pontoon boat.

There were many critters around us too.  Thankfully, they were outside and not inside with us for the most part.
The next morning we loaded up to go shoot guns before going out on the boat again. Madi drove us!
Swinging on the porch swing while waiting turns to shoot!
 Ready with our ear protection!

The kids had fun shooting at metal targets and clay pigeons.

Back on the boat and headed to Seashell island so the kids could swim ashore to look around.
Grayson helped drive the boat with Mr. Adam.

The adults loved floating while the kids jumped and swam!

We cut our trip a day shorter than planned due to some sick kiddos but thankfully everyone still had a great time.  We had to pose this picture to remember the fun times!  Grayson threw a rock that hit Graham in the head on Seashell island and made a huge gash.  Three kids had the stomach bug and the rest of them just going with the flow!
We got home and worked out, did laundry and showered quickly so we could order pizza and have family movie night.
We watched Zookeeper and laughed together! It was a good ending to such a fun week at the lake.
