LCP vs. Abilene High

Monday night was Madi's team dinner at The Range!  

A lot of parents joined too since they have good pizza and a fun atmosphere! 

Tuesday morning was FCA at school and our youth minister Trevor was the speaker!  We had to rearrange a dentist appointment because Madi did not want to miss it! 

Tuesday afternoon we loaded up in the car to head to watch Madi play in Abilene! 

It was another clean sweet for LCP! 

Wednesday I went on another road trip to Snyder for work.  Kellye had a cute presentation about previous teacher candidates now teaching in the district. 

I'm so thankful for my work team!

This popped up on my memories from 12 years ago! 

I just had to text Shelle, Madi and Tucker to show them what they were doing 12 years ago exactly! 

LCP vs. Coronado

The second team dinner was at Ava's house.  They had pizza, swam, and ate cute cookies that said to beat Coronado! 

It was another clean sweet of Coronado Tuesday night!  

Wednesday morning, I left for a quick work trip.  We drove to Throckmorton to see our Site Coordinator and candidates there then continued on to Burleson and Fort Worth.  Then we caught a flight home Friday afternoon just in time to start the weekend! 

While I was away someone got the new truck bug . . . 

So, now we're the new owners of this truck! 

Madi's fall school picture came in!

Friday night Madi went to a fun girls night at church - pizza, movies and flannels! 

Saturday was the TTU vs. Texas game! We had a bunch of friends over to watch.  We gave our tickets to Tripp and some of his friends.  It was an awesome game! 

It was so fun to watch TTU beat Texas! 

LCP vs. Lubbock High

I've said it before but I love the BeReal app as I'm able to see glimpses into other people's day like this one of Madi in class with her friend Maisen. 

And this one of them at the homecoming game Friday night.

Saturday morning, we all 5 showed up wearing the same shirt to the volleyball game so we had to take a picture! 

It was another clean sweep against Lubbock High for all 4 teams. 

Saturday afternoon, a lot of girls from Madi's team and school came over to hang out and watch the Tech game. 

Sunday morning we went to Aldersgate UMC to watch Laney get baptized in the church her mother was baptized in.  

What a fun, busy week! 

First Team Dinner & MHS vs. LCP

Matt went to the TTU game with the Foleys so I hung out at home with Madi and the Norrises.  It was an exciting game even at home! 

Madi & Elly were both wearing their "fish" necklace so I had to take a picture. 

On Monday, September 12th, we hosted the first JV Black team volleyball dinner! 

We think they had fun swimming, playing spike ball/ping pong and just hanging out!

We were all told by the moms later that they loved the taco/nacho bar!  So, I guess it was a hit! 

Tuesday night after Madi's game, we went to watch Maci play basketball since she was playing in town at Madi's middle school LBMS. 

All LCP teams won in two sets against Monterey!  It was a great night! 

Madi and her team continue to grow!

Volleyball & Work Trip

With this being a short week, we packed a lot in! 

I had a quick work trip to Austin and we stayed at Lakeway Resort and Spa.  This was the view from my room on the top floor. 

I had a great time learning with my new chair Dr. Valle and Donna.

Madi had a private group lesson with some girls from the upper JV team.  She said she enjoyed it and learned a lot!

Had to wear my new Game Day volleyball shirt to Madi's Friday game against Abilene Cooper that was the first district game!

All 4 of our teams shut them out in two sets!

LCP vs. Midland Legacy

 Last Saturday, we played my old high school that's now called Midland Legacy!  We won in two sets! 

I'm so glad we won!

Labor day Weekend!

 

We found out on Tuesday that one of our favorite restaurants King Street Pub was closing. 

So, we met up with the Foleys and Stutevilles that love it as much as us for one last dinner! 

The food was awesome!  Sad it's closing but thankful for the memories. 

We continue to love seeing Madi have fun at youth each week. 

At work, I enjoyed spending the morning in an elementary school learning from a Kindergarten PLC.

Fridays are fun when they start like this . . .

Saturdays are fun too when they start like this . . . We played Midland Legacy and won! 

Then we ate lunch at Cook's Garage in the pouring rain!  So, we had to play some shuffleboard to pass the time til the rain let up. 

Saturday night was Tech's first football game!  We went to tailgate for a few hours before the game and then watched it from home even though we had tickets. 

After church, having friends over to swim, cleaning and other chores, we met the Foleys for a quick happy hour at HEB while Madi had practice Monday afternoon. 

No rest for us!  Another week is here!
