Suit Up!

We started off our weekend nice and slow with dinner at BJs for just the 3 of us.
But we still had to stop for pictures on the bikes outside of Red Robin.
We washed Madi's hair after the pool since it's starting to turn a little green.  So we didn't need to re-wash it at bath time.  She loved when I put it up in a clip so it wouldn't get wet.
Saturday morning, I had a hair appointment and received this text from Madi.
We finally bought her some "high heels" (wedges) to wear to church and she was picking out her clothes a day early.  Guess I responded in record time too!
After my hair appointment we went and saw the movie Inside Out at the Alamo Drafthouse.
We reserved top row seats per Madison's request!
Had to entertain ourselves since we arrived a little early.
Then we spent a few hours at Jos A. Banks to get Matt fitted for a few suits.
To keep Madi entertained (since it took a few hours) I asked her to take pictures of each suit her Daddy tried on.
I spent my time learning the various sleeve lengths, pattern and color combinations and much, much more!  I loved this navy with orange.
 We still got a little restless . . .
so I tried to teach Madi how to blow bubbles.  That's a hard thing to teach another person!
All decked out in our Red, White & Blue for church with our high heels!
Kids Day Out Thursdays are coming up!  Yay for fun (and kid-free) days!
All the kids sang their VBS song in big church Sunday morning.

Then we invited our friends the Foley's to join us at the pool for the afternoon.
Madi loved having all 4 of them to play with and Matt and I enjoyed visiting and catching up!

VBS Week!

VBS started this week ending with a fun family movie night!
Monday
All ready for dinner at church then VBS with our VBS shirt on!
Now that Madison has completed 1st grade she was in with the big kids.
Shelle and I taught Tucker's class.
Tuesday
We all met for lunch at CFA.

Ready for night 2 of VBS!
Wednesday morning all ready for the movies!
No picture before VBS Wednesday night but we did get our class pictures.
Tucker's class
 All the 1st graders!
We're starting a new Tech Teach program in Snyder, Texas so I had to go down there for the day on Thursday to train the new Site Coordinators.
Thankfully Grandma could come spend the day with Madi since we had too many plans already scheduled.  All the kids needed to be at Tech for Stephanie's Children's Literature class so I had to tell Grandma where to park my car on campus so she wouldn't be towed!
Grandma took them to the park and met Shelle for lunch at Chili's when they were done at Tech.
Then Madi and Grandma did lots of shopping.  She sent me this picture of Madi waiting in line for a icee at Sam's.
When I got home Thursday evening Madi showed me the cute pillow she got at Hobby Lobby with Grandma.  She almost had it finished!
 Friday
After the pool Shelle and I took the kids to a new frozen yogurt place called Menchie's.
 Silly cousins!
They all enjoyed the yummy treat!
I think we'll be back soon!

Grandpa's Day!

Grandma and Grandpa Mayberry came to town on Monday for an MRI on Grandma's shoulder that has been hurting.
We turned it into a belated Grandpa's Day with lunch and presents at Blue Sky.
 Grandpa loved all his gifts!
But I know he loved his Grandpa's Club hat the best!
His old Grandpa's Caddies hat was looking a little rough so we had to get him a replacement!

Father's Day 2015

Matt opening his pirate card from Madi.
The outside is a pirate made out of her hand print and the inside says "Dad You're Grrreat!" complete with streamers that pop out when you open it.
Then he opened his annual mug made by Madison.
He loved that his mug was pink with purple hand prints.  :)
After church we all cooked out at the Foley's house.
The guys had so much fun that I'm pretty sure this will become an annual tradition.
I had to take a picture of the guys all sitting at the kid bar together!

Shrek the Musical!

We had a girls' night on Saturday with Lauren and her mom.
Both guys said it was the best early Father's Day present ever!
I was so thankful they had a kid-friendly play at the Moonlight Musicals this year.
We had perfect center seats and the weather was nice and cool.
Madi and Lauren enjoyed the blanket while we sat in our chairs.
All the actors were talented and the costumes were amazing.
The purple dragon was pretty cool!
We had such a great night out with friends!
