Salute the Patriots!

Salute the Patriots was Wednesday night in the new Liberty Football stadium. 

They introduced all the varsity athletes for fall sports!

The sound system was having a little trouble. Hopefully it can be fixed before the first game on Friday. 

Madi also got to meet her Adopt a Patriot - Owen Sorrell! 

They gave each of a little gift to start off the season.  We gave Owen his favorite snacks and a few golf goodies since he loves golf.  I also had a button made with Madi's name and number for him to wear to the games!

We hosted the first team dinner at Rosa's after Salute the Patriots.

Bushland & Player of the Week!

Unfortunately, we didn't win against Bushland but we did come close in the first set and won the second set! 

It was great competition! 

Debs & Cousins

Thursday night while we left for Vegas, Madi had her first Debs volunteer shift of Junior year. 

She was glad that Baylee, Elly and Joleigh volunteered with her. They went to dinner after.

Early morning Physics study session with MJ at Starbucks. 

While we were out of town we got a video of the girls and their posters being hung in the gym! 

Can't wait to see it in person this Saturday at the first district home game!

On Saturday, Madi met up with the cousins at Chili's for lunch. Then she and Tucker hung out and went to see her high school. 

Monday was Madi's eye doctor appointment.  She needs glasses for driving at night and seeing the board/tv.

Vegas with the Foleys!

We decided to be fun and spontaneous and join the Foleys in Vegas last week. 

We picked Bianca up from work and tried two new places downtown Lubbock before heading to the airport.

Dinner at Nacho Daddy to start off the trip! 

Saw a new mural after brunch Friday morning. 

I had a quick Zoom meeting on Friday afternoon so I went to the room while the rest of them gambled. 

Then we went to Oak & Ivy!

We've ran out of escape rooms so had to try an interesting one for sure. 

But thankfully it was well put together and not that crazy. 

Then we went to a Tiki Bar that was suggested to us. 

Great drinks, live music and cool atmosphere!

Then we had dinner at 00 Pizza and topped the night off with cake and coffee at Gabi's. 

We didn't take any pictures on Saturday or Sunday before heading home.  Guess we were too busy having fun. We enjoyed another great brunch, some shopping then dinner at Eureka. 

Such a fun getaway!  We'll have to do it again soon!

Frenship & Hereford

Last Tuesday, we were so excited to beat Hereford and Frenship!  Frenship is always a big rival and being a 6A school we were even more excited! 

As always, I enjoy reading the write ups following a good game!

District starts in a few weeks!  Hopefully, we will be ready! 

 

Open House, New Places & Austin

Matt and I were good parents and went to open house to meet a few of Madi's teachers.  Her campus is amazing! 

Tuesday before her game, we tried a new place down the street called Candle Bar. 

I left for a Charles Butt convening in Austin Wednesday through Friday. 

We stayed at Barton Springs resort which was so beautiful!

Loved working with Donna and Tami!

They had our pictures from the last convening in April for us.  Wish Fanni would have joined this time!

Saturday, we watched the TTU game at Red Feather while Madi and friends went to the game.

Sunday after church, I just had to meet Shelle and Cody and the kids for lunch so I could see this sweet girl! 

Can't believe Leighton is already 1 and walking/running everywhere!
