First Sewing Project is in the BAG!

 Saturday morning we were back at Ms. Hanna's for Madi to finish her sewing project.

 Almost finished . . .

 All done!

 Now she has a bag to carry all her sewing supplies in when she goes to Ms. Hanna's house.

Ms. Hanna is booked for weekly lessons during the school year so we may go occasionally and then start next summer.  But now with a few lessons under her, Madi can start teaching herself by trying out new things on her machine.

First Day of 2nd Grade!

 I woke up super early Monday morning in Phoenix so I could talk to this cute 2nd grader before she headed to school!

 I was so thankful for all the pictures so I could feel like I was there too.

Grandma came to town to pick Madi up from school and to stay a few days until I returned. 

I told Matt I needed a first day of school picture of him too since this is his first day of class for his last semester of classes.  :)

Ms. Janda and Adyson and Aubyn took Madi to school Tuesday through Thursday.

 Wednesday

 Wednesday night, Madi and Daddy bathed early, grabbed dinner and had a movie night!

 Blurry (thanks to Grandma, I think) but Madi wanted to send me a picture to see if I thought these shoes looked good with this dress from her phone.  

 Thursday - this picture really made me thankful that I would soon be on a plane headed to pick this cutie up from school Thursday afternoon.

 Friday 

So thankful to take Madison to school.

 We celebrated with slushies and the Bishop girls!

 They came to our house to play then we met their parents for dinner to celebrate the first week of school!  Aubyn wanted to hear Madi play the piano. 

 A little early . . .

but I got started planning an 8th birthday party that I know will be here very soon.

The Weekend before School Starts . . .

 We've enjoyed both rooms at Trapped! Escape the Room! so when they offered a free try at the new room as a test group we and the Foleys jumped at the chance!

 It's fun to stumble across our picture on Facebook . . .

 Sunday was Promotion Sunday at church.  So these girls now attend 2nd grade Sunday School.

 I flew out Sunday afternoon to Phoenix.  I had to snap this picture as I landed in Vegas along the way just to send to Matt.  :)

 I tried to reassure him that this was my view and not enjoying the Strip in Vegas without him. 

 When buying some almonds the lady told me it would be cheaper to do the 2 for deal so I had to get Madi some of her favorite candy!

 This girl wasn't too happy that I was leaving for four nights and during the first week of school so Matt kept her busy!

 I enjoyed getting all their pictures even though I was enjoying an amazing dinner in my hotel.  :)

 Seeing these memories really don't help either when I'm so far away.

But thankfully we are all ready for the first day of school!

Last Week of Summer!

 Monday - off to Aunt Shelle's house!  Madi did a lot of fun stuff with her cousins for the last week of summer - Chuck E. Cheese, Chick-fila, Mall playground, park, pool, the gym, . . . and much more!

 Friday night Madi and I tried on the clothes she wants to wear the first week of school since I'll be gone until Thursday. 

 She's very excited about wearing more dresses and her new shoes - chaco's and converses.

 I think she's going to look great and have a great week!

Meeting Mrs. Skoog!

 Last Monday evening, we loaded up and headed to Meet the Teacher night at Madi's school.

 We took a picture before going in, but crazy me wanted one without Madi's peppermint sticking out of her mouth!

 Having a good friend that is also a teacher at Madi's school has its privileges.  

We got to meet Mrs. Skoog last year once we decided Madi and Maisen would be in her class.
