Mermaid!

We spent part of Memorial Day at our pool's annual party!
Reunited and it feels so good!
We still have swim practice all summer but thankfully it's earlier in the day.  I had to take a picture when I noticed how much smaller Madi is than the rest of her group.
Tuesday Madi had a sewing camp at Cooper High School.
It was a hit!  They learned to make pillowcases and a zipper bag plus pizza and friends never hurt!
Wednesday was movie day with Grandma, Aunt Shelle and cousins.  They saw Sing!
While they were at the movies, Casey and I worked from her house.  Not a bad view!
We had the typical Chick-Fila for lunch then headed to the pool!
Right after the pool, Madi and Maci headed to see Ms. Katie to get mermaid hair for the summer!
 Getting ready . . .

 Madi picked blue . . .
 Maci went with pink!

 All done!
It's weird having a mermaid in the house for the summer!
Now it's starting to really feel like summertime!

Summer Days!

On the first day of summer, Madi surprised me by actually wanting to go up to work with me for a few hours.
We spent almost $5 at the vending machines on a drink and beef jerky so I'm not sure how often I want her to come with me!  :)
I worked for a few hours then we met the Wildes, Foleys and Gibbs at Blazing Bouncers to celebrate the beginning of summer!
The kids all had a blast and we enjoyed visiting!
 Snack time!
At the end they were all tired but we made them pose for a group picture!
We got up bright and early to head to Roswell to visit family and play with the cousins.
After breakfast and playtime at Burger King, the cousins had a blast at Grandma and Grandpa Heider's house.
Plus Grandma made fresh out of the oven cookies!
The kids played, went to the pool and played some more before it was time for us to head home.
But first we stopped by Grandpa Heider's school to pick some peaches.
Sunday morning came early, but we stilled enjoyed a quiet morning outside with our coffee in the hot tub.
I love how the puppies find the smallest sliver of light to sit in to stay warm.  :)
After church and lunch, Madi had tennis practice.  Getting better!
Since Matt was still golfing when tennis was over we headed to Clay Cafe to make the annual Father's Day mug.  Madi thought this one would be funny to get her Daddy!  Too bad her hand prints wouldn't fit on his beard!
Grandma Mayberry and Grandma B came to paint too.
And now it's slumber party time!
Gracie came over to play and spend the night!  They are having a blast playing and swimming in the hot tub!  Welcome summertime!

End of Year Traditions!

If you know me at all, you know I love traditions!
We started these traditions in Kindergarten and what I love most about them is how easy they are!
Class of 2026 as a 3rd Grader!
Class of 2026 as a 2nd Grader!
Class of 2026 as a 1st Grader!
Class of 2026 as a Kindergartner!
My how she has grown and changed into a precious little girl!
We've also captured how her handwriting has changed each year by writing her full name.
We use this book that Matt received for a high school graduation gift as a place to capture memories from each of her teachers.
Mrs. Lance (homeroom, Math), Mrs. Jones (Science, SS) and Ms. Kissinger (Reading) all signed it this year! What a special memory it will be for her to read when she graduates high school to see what all of her teachers had to say about her.  So far the common theme has been how kind she is to everyone of her classmates.  :)
 1st Day of 3rd Grade

To the Last Day of 3rd Grade! It was also pajama day!
One last picture with Mrs. Lance and student teacher Ms. J (who was already done but came anyway to say goodbye!).
Mrs. Lance sent these pictures to us on the last day.
Madi had such a good 3rd grade class!
We met Gracie and Devyn's families at Blue Sky for a celebratory lunch since school ended at noon.
Then all the kids played at Devyn's house and had a water balloon fight!
Best way to start summer!

Last Week of 3rd Grade & Maci's Kindergarten Graduation

Monday of the last week of school!
She's been bringing home all sorts of things.  I remember her saying something about doing well in the pacer!
 Tuesday
I told Grandma Mayberry to take a picture when she took Madi lunch on Tuesday.  I guess I should have been more specific and told her a picture of her and Madi!
I forgot to post a picture of the beautiful flowers Madi got from Grandma Mayberry for her piano recital.  They've been adding a little pizazz to our table (Madi's words!).
 Wednesday
Thankfully, I was able to make Maci's Kindergarten Graduation Wednesday morning.
They entertained us with this slide show while we waited for the ceremony to start.
We were there!  I was afraid I'd have to run out to my next meeting before getting to take a picture with the graduate so I had Shelle take a picture as proof that I was there.
 Walking up on stage . . .

She sure loves Mrs. Kauffman and Mrs. Booher.
Thankfully, I was able to take a picture with the graduate and give her flowers!

It's hard to believe 3rd grade is almost over for us and that Maci is now a 1st grader!
Tomorrow is the last day of school then it's SUMMERTIME!
