The Fair

We couldn't wait to take Madi to the fair this year. She loves all animals and we just knew she'd love them in person too. WRONG! She acted scared of them. Not sure if the cages or the animals themselves scared her. She would look at them and tell us what they were and the sounds they make but she definitely wanted to be held.
We went early but it was still HOT, HOT, HOT!
Here are Madi and her Daddy facing the sun as we were about to go see the animals.
The cows . . .

We got her to walk for a little while.

I think she liked the pigs best of all.

She did not like the chickens at all! Too loud and smelly I think.

The only thing she got excited about was going to see the tractors. I know her Grandpa Heider is proud of that! She calls them trucks!

We had so much fun looking around and eating yummy, greasy fair food. Madi wanted nothing to do with the corndog we bought her though - all she'd eat was her Daddy's turkey leg. My favorite has always been the fried snickers! Can't wait til next year!
My sister's family had a 10th Birthday Celebration for Morgan last Wednesday night at 50th Street Caboose. The kids played games while we all ate and talked. We can't believe Morgan is already 10 years old. Wow!
Here are Madi and her Daddy as the party was getting started.
Birthday girl blowing out her 10 candles on her sports themed cupcake!

All the kiddos enjoying dinner . . .

My sister's family

All the kids in the gameroom . . .

Shelle's mother-in-law gave Tucker one of the green icing cupcakes. It was too fun watching him stare at it and play in it. He had it everywhere. Good practice for his 1st birthday coming up in November!

At first he wasn't too sure about it then he dug right in.

Now what do I do??????

More fun times in the Heider Household coming soon!

The End of Summer

We are happy that Fall is here but Madison sure misses the summer. We've tried to go outside to play and to as many parks as possible before it gets too cold. I've been thinking about looking into a tumbling/gymnastics program for Madi to take during the winter. This girl will not do well with staying inside for months and months. We've got to find somewhere for her to run, jump and play!

When we first got this swing set Madi wanted nothing to do with the swings. Then once Cousin Tripp showed her what the swings were all about we can't get her off of them. All she says is "Gin" (again) so you'll keep pushing her. And the higher the better as far as she is concerned.

I think I uploaded these pictures to align on the right or something since they are all messed up. Sorry.
But they definitely still show an ALMOST two year old loving her swing set and the outdoors!

Madi & Her Puppies

I had to throw these pictures in because Madi is telling her Daddy that he needs to put his shoes on. She hates when he leaves he shoes places. She either wants him to put them on or away in the closet. That's my girl!

Here are your shoes Daddy!

There isn't anything that Madison loves more than her puppies. She absolutely LOVES to feed them a treat everyday. That's the only time that they really like her back. Most of the time they are running from her.

Here she is giving each one a treat.

And since we were outside we had to do a little playing as well. She loves playing with her Daddy. He does the coolest things . . . like hold her by her feet . . . .

And chase her . . .

And chase her . . .

And chase her . . .

I love that I caught this picture of the two of them running around the yard.

And tossing her in the air . . .

And more tossing . . .

More chasing . . .

Love the look of determination on her face . . .

We have so much fun together. All Madi needs to have fun are her puppies and the outdoors.

Family of 3

I just love these pictures of Madison. We were on our way to a friend's house for a bbq and decided to take some pictures. It was rainy out so Madi's hair is curlier than normal! If that's EVEN possible.

Love, love, love this grin!

Madi & her Daddy
He's the only playmate she needs to have fun!
She's loves for him to throw her up in the air and catch her.

"Gin Daddy!" Which means "again, Daddy."

I so love our little family of 3!

Madi's New Hobby!

This past week, Matt decided to play a little Guitar Hero. He wasn't really able to play much this summer. So with the rainy weather the past few days it was a perfect time to play. Madi wanted her own guitar to play along too. She was too cute trying to hold it and punch the buttons like her Daddy.

So this is how you hold it . . . . Got it!

I think I missed that note . . .

Like this Daddy . . . ???

I think I got the hang of this guitar thing!

Poor Daddy - this is just the beginning of sharing "his toys" with his daughter!
