Mid-July

It's that time of the summer where we start counting down the days until school. 

We've been getting together with the Norrises to watch Bachelorette each week only because our superintendent's son Kirk Bryant is on the show! 

We may have been excited when we heard he made it to the 3rd round! 

Happy hour with friends . . . they tried a mini beer that was some type of vanilla whisky and heavy cream. 

Grandma and Grandpa Heider came for a quick visit and bought Madi spike ball! 

She's been wanting this game!  She took it over to a friend's house later that night and played.  They tried to teach me but I'm not very good. :)

Sunday night we celebrated Adam's 45th birthday by escaping the pyramids and dinner at Ike's! 

Madi started GMS camp this week, then we have one last vacation before tryouts start! 

17th Anniversary!

We celebrated Maci's 11th birthday before Madi left for church camp and we left to celebrate our anniversary in Vegas.

After we dropped Madi off at church camp, we decided to all get manicures and pedicures before heading to the airport. 

We had a quick layover in Denver so . . . 

They cracked us up by being in line super early.  We think they were a little excited. 

We stayed downtown at the new Circa which is 21 and up.  The pool view from our room was amazing!

I forgot about the mall on the strip.  We'll have to take Madi next time. 

There was an escape room in the mall so we had to try it!

We spent each afternoon at the Oak & Ivy.

The escalator up to the pool was insane! At least 4 stories. 

Bianca and I enjoyed some brussel sprouts and a drink while taking a break from shopping. 

We had to bet on the horses for Eddie!

It was a fun trip to celebrate 17 wonderful years! 

Church Camp!

Madi has been excited for Church Camp week ALL SUMMER!  

They tie dyed shirts and made bracelets the Wednesday before in preparation!

All set to go Saturday morning!

We loved seeing pictures throughout the week since they didn't have their phones. 

We were so happy to get our girl back on Wednesday and to hear all about the fun she had!

I saw a few pics on our Youth Facebook page that I hadn't seen before so I had to make sure and post them.
