Hair cut!

Friday afternoon, we killed a little time with a game of Checkers and Phase 10 (once Daddy got home) before taking Madi to Sidney's slumber party.
I've been meaning to post a picture of Madi's artwork that we had made into a mouse pad for our home computer.  It was a school fundraiser that I actually like since we can buy useful household items with her artwork displayed.
 Sidney, Madi, Maisen and Preslee
Madi bought 4 matching unicorn necklaces as part of Sidney's gift and each girl got to keep one.

Saturday morning I picked Madi up and then we had a hair appointment.  We kept her friend Devyn for the afternoon as well.
Madi decided she wanted to cut her hair short.  So Ms. Katie cut off 4-5 inches!
Madi and Devyn enjoyed the warm afternoon outside!
"Dev and Madi are best friends just like ice cream and sprinkles"
Saturday night the Foley's came over for dinner and so the guys could practice craps for our upcoming trip to Vegas.
Sunday after church we met my cousins and family at Orlando's for a birthday lunch for my cousin Klay.
Klay and his girls Elora and Kiran!
Thankfully our week is looking a little bit slower than our weekend!

Friends & Family

We definitely had a week of time with friends and family.
Maisen came and played with Madi all day on Saturday.  They enjoyed being outside and making slime!
We got a new vacuum which means fun and games for this girl!  She hopped all over the house.
Saturday night, I went to our friend Ashlee's 30th birthday party.  It was 80s themed and so much fun!
Sunday we ate with the Foley's at Cheddars and then Allison and Jessica spent the afternoon playing at our house.  We then met our old friends the Tullos' for dinner at Teddy Jacks but sadly didn't get a picture.
 Monday
 Tuesday
We skipped swim Tuesday night so we could meet the cousins, Aunt Shelle, Grandma, Grandma B and Uncle Cody at Rosa's for dinner and then cheer on Tripp at his game.
He played a great game and his team won!
 Wednesday
After a fun night at church, I think the puppies missed up since this is what they did when it was bed time!
 Thursday
 Friday
Our weekends are jam-packed for at least the next 3 weeks.  Bring on the fun!

Short, Cold Week!

Tuesday, we busted out the cold weather clothes for sure!
 Wednesday
Tried to get a picture of Madi doing her back hand spring.  It's hard to get a picture of her jumping!
Thursday - the Stars hat sure is getting some use this week!
Tucker won his class spelling bee last week so he competed in the school-wide bee against 4th and 5th graders. He made it through 4 or 5 rounds but sadly lost on the word superb.
Work was crazy so I couldn't go watch him but Aunt Shelle and Grandma Mayberry texted me to keep updated and took pictures! Tuck and Maci with their principal Mrs. Booher.
Friday or Fri-YAY as it's known in our house!
This morning as we were getting in the car Madi said "wow look at the sky!"
Wow is right.  There's just something special about the skies in West Texas.

Long Weekend!

Friday night we had Aunt Shelle, Maci and Grandma Mayberry over for dinner.  Uncle Cody and the boys were in Houston for a boys' weekend so we grilled ribs and enjoyed a nice evening!
Madi has become quite the helper when it comes to chopping veggies for the grill.
Maci stayed the night with us so on Saturday we went to see Paddington 2.
It was such a cute movie.
Sunday was church, golf, and relaxing.
Monday this guy had to go to work but Madi and I (plus her friend Devyn that spent the night) enjoyed a morning in our pajamas!
 Donuts in bed . . .
They put on skits for me while I read my bible, answered emails, folded laundry and watched TV.
They played Speak Out! and I can't help but laugh anytime I see these things!
We met the cousins for lunch to end the long weekend.  Now it is back to normal with piano and swim this evening.

One Week Back!

Getting back in the groove on Monday wasn't too bad but we forgot a picture.
So I snapped one of Madi brushing her teeth in bed.  Doesn't everyone do that?
She named the puppy she got at the Stars game Benn after her Daddy's favorite player.
 Tuesday
Wednesday
 Thursday
 Friday
We were back to work, school, piano, swim and gymnastics.  Church starts back up next week so then it's really back to normal!

Daddy-Daughter Hockey Adventure!

After Matt and I got back from seeing a Stars Hockey game in Vegas, Madi asked him when she was going to go see a game with her.  An idea was born!
So, for Christmas she opened this Stars shirt we bought for her and then we told her that on January 6th she and her Daddy were flying to Dallas to see a Stars game!
They woke up early Saturday morning and were excited to start their adventure!
In the airport . . .
On the plane . . . she also brought along the neck pillow she got for Christmas.  I'm sure it came in handy on the LONG 45 minute flight! ;-)
The game didn't start until 2pm so they drove to the Galleria to ice skate but unfortunately it was closed for private lessons.
So, they did some walking, shopping, and eating before heading to the game.
I told her the first thing she had to do at the game was to buy a Stars toboggan since it is so cold in the arena.  She picked a good one!
They got there just in time for Madi to receive a free Stars jersey!
The same one as her Daddy too!
They found a nice person to take their picture for me.
They went down to the ice to watch the players warm up.
Matt said she loved the game and had the biggest smile on her face the whole time!
We think a new tradition was born!  Madi loved going with her Daddy to a Stars game so we're going to try and make it a yearly event!
