Thanksgiving Week

It was actually nice to get out and about Monday morning after a long weekend snowed in.
Madi asked why her shirt said "Love to shop." :) I said well don't you like to shop?  And she grinned real big and said YES!
Tuesday was a half day at school for Madi.
I picked her up at noon and we met Aunt Shelle, Tuck, Maci and a friend from school at Chick-fila for lunch.  Then Madi came up to campus with me for a meeting at 2:30.  We always stop at the fountain so she can climb on all the book statues.
We went to Jerry and Amy Estrada's Annual Thanksgiving dinner Tuesday night but didn't get any pictures.  We love going every year since the first annual was the year Matt and I met so we've been attending for many, many years.

Wednesday morning we headed to my parents' house.
We did a little shopping in the big town of Colorado City!
We love that the kids are all old enough to play games now.
We played the 5 Second Rule for hours.

Smiley (used to be Morgan's cat) sat on the donuts and wouldn't get off.
She even stayed on as Uncle Cody carried her around!
 Maci loves her Uncle Matt!
 Morgan & Uncle Cody
My parents usually don't put up a tree since they come to Lubbock for Christmas so we decided to put theirs up for them and the kids had a blast decorating it.

Then we played a couple of rounds of Headbanz.

We thought it was pretty fitting that Tripp got the turkey on Thanksgiving.
It was tough getting a group picture of these three.

 My two favorites!
A selfie of me and Tripp!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Snowed In!

The weather started getting bad Friday around noon so Matt asked if I would go get Madi from school early and head home.  I'm so thankful for a job where that is not only possible but easy!
I checked Madi out of school and saw Maisen's mom (also a Kinder teacher) and took Maisen too.
We grabbed snacks and food from Market St. then headed home for the snowy afternoon.
I only talked to these two once from 1pm to 5pm.  They had so much fun!
This was how we spent Saturday.
Grandma Mayberry sent two Christmas puzzles for us and we had fun putting them together.
Our Sunday School Christmas Party got postponed Friday night due to weather so Bianca brought over a cherry pie for us that she'd made for the party.  She knows how much Matt loves cherry pie!
Here's how we spent Sunday.  See a trend!?!
 Madi loves Santa hats!
But she loves to take pictures in Santa hats even more!
This was my "homework" over the weekend as well.  We're getting iPad minis in the spring and our training is in December so Dr. Hamman told me and Stephanie to play on them over the weekend.
Sunday afternoon Matt and Madi tried to build a snowman but the snow was a little too powdery.
That didn't stop these two from having fun!
 There was a snowball fight . . .
 And many, many . . .
 snow angels made!
We didn't leave the house from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening.  We had to get out and have Rosa's for dinner though!
School was delayed two hours this morning and tomorrow is a half day before the Thanksgiving Holiday!

U Can Share Food Drive

This was the U Can Share Food Drive at Madi's school.
Monday was "Wear a Hat Day" if you bring a canned food item.
Madi took many "selfie" pictures on the way home from swimming Monday night.  Probably to help keep warm!
 Tuesday was "Sock Day!"
They could take off their shoes and wear socks all day.
 Wednesday was "Crazy Hair Day!"
Madi at first said she wanted pony tails all over her head.
Then that morning she said only two pig tails with crazy mismatched bows.
We're not very crazy in this house!
 Donut Day for breakfast!
 Thursday was "Pajama Day!"
I posted this picture on Instagram.
I was the only one in the office on Thursday and saw this coat rack in our office.  It's an inside joke but I had to text Dr. Button and Stephanie to see if I was in possession of stolen property because Dr. B has had her eyes on one for a while.  :)
 Friday was "Backwards Day!"
Madi said she wouldn't wear her shoes backwards though.
Good thing, because I'm not sure how we would have managed that.
It was a fun week and we helped gather cans for a good cause.

These Two

These two miss seeing each other every. single. day.
 They have the neatest relationship.
Not quite siblings, but closer than cousins.
So thankful for their relationship!

Tucker's 5th Birthday!

I can't believe we just celebrated Tucker's 5th Birthday!
He wanted a Despicable Me Minion party.
I helped make cute bags for the pinata candy and then we set up an area for the kids to make one for themselves.
I caught the birthday boy before the party began!
Aunt Jen sure is talented at making cupcakes.
Getting ready for the party . . .
 This girl is a big . . .
 MESS!
 Craft time!
All the bags were different but adorable.

 Pinata Time!
It was SO windy and dusty that we improvised and moved the pinata inside the garage.
Tucker went first!
Then it was Maci's turn.
 Then Madi took a turn.
After all of Tucker's little friends went, then it was Tripp's turn!
And all the candy came flying out!
 Getting ready to sing.
He looked down the entire time we sang to him.  Shy just like his cousin.

 Time to make a . . .
 WISH!

 Time to open presents!
Matt picked out this bow and arrow and was excited to give it to Tuck.

I love how excited he was when he saw money in the envelope.

 Quick shot of us.
Happy Birthday Tucker!
The birthday boy came home with us and is spending the night.
Madi and Tucker were so cute today since they don't see each other as often.
They have been inseparable!
