Daddy Daughter Date!

Saturday morning was a daddy daughter date!
Adam and Matt took the girls fishing at a nearby pond.
 Then they went for breakfast!
Saturday afternoon we met Madi's girl scout troop out at the corn maze.
They had so much fun leading us through the maze.
 Going on a hayride . . .
 Picking pumpkins . . .
And shooting the corn cannon . . .
We had a blast with our girl scout!
Sunday morning with had our 5th Sunday social and the guys in our class helped with parking due to construction.
They looked too cute in their vests!

5th Grade School Pictures!

Last Saturday evening we went to the Foley's house to cook out and visit.
The girls had a great time playing and painting their finger nails.  Madi spent the night with them and met us at church Sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon was Girl Scouts.  We met at Cooper West's cafeteria.
They talked about being independent and fire safety.  Ms. Sarah had a fun activity for them where they pretended to be asleep then when the alarm went off they had to hurry and get ready for school!
 We missed Monday morning's picture!
So here's Tuesday!
Madi's 5th grade school picture came home Tuesday.  Cute smile!
 Wacky Wednesday!

 Thursday
 Friday
Friday night we grilled at the Foley's house again.
The kids heard the ice cream truck and went running after him!

Visiting Jayton!

Monday
Tuesday
 Wednesday
Wednesday we held a conference for local rural superintendents to plan writing a grant together for teacher preparation.
We held it at the stadium and they had a welcome sign for us over the field.
 Not a bad view . . .
Thursday Madi had a field trip to the symphony and lunch at Mr. Gatti's.  We also had Aunt Erin and Philip stay with us for the night since he had a doctor appointment in Lubbock.
 Friday

Right after school on Friday, we grabbed Grandma and Grandpa and headed to Jayton to see the cousins!  Amy from work game Madi this atlas and fun road trip book which kept us entertained on the way there.
 Girls in the back!
Matt smoked a brisket the night before so we played Phase 10 and had a yummy dinner.  I was exhausted after a long week but I loved having these two sit in my lap.  Reminded me of years ago when I had them in my lap all the time.
Saturday morning coffee with Matt while the whole house was still asleep.  Including Tripp on the couch next to us . . .
Thankfully, the rain stopped so the kids rode their bikes around town while Shelle showed us all the fun places on a golf cart ride.
Halfway through Matt taught Madi how to drive the golf cart and off she went leading the way.
We went by to see their school and where all the kids hang out on the weekend evidently! :)
It was fun to see where they live and spend their time!  Everyone was so nice that we can't wait to go back for another visit!

Walter's World of Pets & The Haven

Friday night was nice night with just the three of us. Madi enjoyed it by making slime!
Saturday morning, we went to Walter's World of Pets with Madi's Girl Scout Troop.

We learned so much about snakes, chinchillas, turtles, sloths, lemurs, and more!
Then we went to The Haven to donate what the girls made last week and to clean up the grounds around the animals.

The girls had a great time and we celebrated with lunch at Blue Sky afterwards.
Saturday evening, we went to celebrate Matthew Foley's birthday at Safety City.
The kids had a blast while we all visited.  Madi and the Foley girls ended up having a slumber party with Rylee.  :)
Sunday after church, we met Grandma, Grandma B., Klay and girls, and Kirk and Melanie for lunch.
We weren't able to celebrate Elora and Kiran's birthday with them back in July so they opened our presents after lunch.
I hope they love the cute jean jackets with the patch "Pittman" we had sewn on them when they go to Kindergarten!
I found them in Aunt Bev's ribbon after all these years and thought they would make the perfect gift!
