New Dress & Sand Box

I've said it before but Madison is so blessed to have a talented Grandma Heider and Great Aunt Bevie to make her such cute clothes! I saw this dress on a blog and told my aunt about it. She and my uncle hunted and hunted at all the fabric stores until they found exactly what I had shown her. It's PERFECT! I love red, black and white.

Miss Madi wasn't in a picture taking mood before church last Sunday but I did manage to get a few.

As I look as these pictures I realize that she's not wearing the red/white polka dot bow my aunt also made for her. Ugh! Matt must've been the one that dressed her that morning! ha!

Sunday afternoon we set up Madi's sandbox for the summer. She supervised mostly but took a break to swing a little too. She cracks us up with "higher and higher" all the time. She's such a dare devil lately.

She has loved her sandbox this past week and I think I have loved pushing her out back to play even more!

Our Little Gardener

Since having Madison, I really haven't done much to my flower bed. I used to have pots filled with flowers on both sides of our garage and bench plus in the flowerbed. That is until Madi came along. But this year we thought she'd enjoy planting the flowers and watching them grow. Plus it just makes it feel like spring!

She had to have gloves on just like Mommy.
It took her a while but she finally got them on!

And she just had to have her pink chair. I guess the idea of sitting in the grass/dirt didn't appeal to her! Ha!

And she had to have on some old flip flops just like me as well.

She would help dig a hole, get the flowers out of the container and plant them.

Then it came time to water our flowers. We got her this watering can at Ikea a while back and she was so excited to use it!

The first attempt she FLOODED the flowers . . .

Once she got the idea she did a great job.

She watered each one individually.

Then she was pretty sad when all the water was gone! But she'll get to water them more in a few days!

Madi loves to watch Clifford. This is the first and only show we've let her watch. She is just like her Daddy when watching tv. She gets ZONED in and tunes everything else out!

Thought I'd get Clifford in there too so we can remember later on what she loved to watch! (Sorry the floor is pretty messy - what can I say? The girl loves to read.)

This past Thursday Nora and Lydia came over to play. They had so much fun running and chasing eachother. We are so blessed with good friends!

First Flowers

I love spring and I really LOVE spring dresses!

It's a good thing Madison does too!

She wasn't in the best "picture taking" mood but I still got a few cute ones.

Matt brought Madi (and me) home her first flowers "just because" on Monday night. She loved them and immediately wanted them up on her dresser after we put them in a vase.

They had to be positioned "just right." Hmmm . . . wonder where she gets that from!

When we were in Roswell last weekend Madi loved to play ball with this tee her Grandpa made. Well she loved it so much Grandpa sent it home with us and strict instructions to go buy her a bat and ball immediately (he even gave us the money!).

Not too sure the pups are enjoying all the toys in their yard but they'll get over it!

She loves to swing these days and wants to go higher and higher. She has no fear right now!

Easter

We headed to Roswell for Easter weekend to see Matt's side of the family but also to see Uncle Jacob on leave from the Navy. I LOVE this picture of Uncle Jake and his niece and nephews!

This is the Easter basket my parents got for Madison. She loves it because it has her name on it. This girl loves to point out all the letters in her name that she sees around town on signs and buildings!

Early Saturday morning we headed to Roswell to spend the weekend with Matt's parents, sister and brother. We went straight to their church Easter egg hunt. Madi jumped right in and starting gathering eggs.

Although, once she got close to the playground she thought she had enough of the eggs and just wanted to play.

The kids also got to decorate and eat cookies. Owen (in the middle with his tongue out) was so excited to eat the yummy cookie! Madi decorated her cookie but wouldn't touch it. Whose child is this anyways?

Then they all got to paint an egg shaped piggy bank. Too cute! This was really a well planned and event filled day for the kiddos!

Then the kids took food and goodies to the fire station next door. They were so nice and even let the kids tour the fire truck and see a fireman in all his gear. Madi wanted NOTHING to do with the scary fireman.

Grandma and Grandpa let the kids dye Easter eggs. This was so hard for me to watch as all that colored water bothered me but the kids did great, had fun and didn't make much of a mess. I was surprised!

Grandpa took Ethan on a motorcycle ride. Madison wanted nothing to do with that thing! She was outta there the second he started it up!

Sunday morning, Grandma and Grandpa had eggs hidden for Madi to find. She loved searching and searching for them.

Grandma and Grandpa gave Madison this basket filled with all sort of goodies: candy, peeps, 3 bows and an adorable dress Grandma made for Madi (I'll post her in it later).
