Duel in the Pool!

 Monday

 Monday evening Madi was showing her Daddy how she learning to draw pictures of animals by using the letters in the word.  It was so cute and she was so proud!

 We didn't get a picture Tuesday because we had a rushed morning but here she is on Wednesday all smiles!

We got her out of school before lunch on Friday so we could head to Midland for a swim meet. I laughed when I saw how much lugage she had and this isn't even including her rolling suitcase!

 Can't go on a road trip without a neck pillow. 

 I thought it was funny how she strapped her monkey in her suitcase so he wouldn't fly around.  :)

 This was a neat meet to be invited too since they only take the top 6 swimmers in each age range.  We knew it would be stiff competition but thankfully Madi improved on her times in breaststroke and backstroke.

 We loved the COM stands!

 Grandma came along for the ride and to cheer on Madi!

Of course, we had to eat at Jorge's (my favorite restaurant of all time!) before the meet and checking into our hotel but after the meet we had to celebrate with ice cream!

 Madi's 4th grade class picture came in.  She sure loves all her friends and Mrs. Gregory.

Girls Weekend!

 Madi and I enjoyed a girls weekend while Matt was away. 

Friday - Madi went with Devyn to her church's kid's night out while Amy and Casey came over and enjoyed a quiet evening on the patio complete with yummy food, the hot tub and lots of laughs!

 Saturday morning we had our hair appointment and then that afternoon our Sunday School class met up for a Tech Baseball game!

 It was cold but we had a blast!

 That evening Matt flew back to town and the cousins stayed the night with us.  So what better way to start off a cousin sleepover than with hot tub time!

 Shelle sent us some of Morgan's graduation pictures.  Can't believe she's graduating in a few weeks.  This one was my favorite!

 Sunday we went to church and met the family at Chili's for a fun lunch.

That evening our Sunday School served dinner for the college service.  There were over 250 college students in attendance.  It was a fun evening getting to know them as we served them dinner.  The kids enjoyed being the welcoming committee!

Celebrating Grandpa Mayberry's 70th Birthday!

 Matt took my dad to Vegas to celebrate his 70th birthday! 

 Rod went along for the celebration too!

 They said they had a blast gambling, eating and taking in the sights!

 This pizza is definitely one way to celebrate!

Tax Day!

 Amy, Casey and I had a crazy meeting and sent this to our colleague in Dallas.  And it was only Tuesday.

 Wednesday was House Party day for Madi.  She's in Sigma so they wear yellow!

 Wednesday our department was the Excellence in Teaching Award from the University.  It was the first time our college won the award and it was our department.  Had to get a pic of Doug holding that check!

 Thursday

   We didn't attend the swim banquet sadly and Madi got the most improved swimmer for her age group!

 Friday

 Now that tax season is over we are ready for a few slower paced days! :)

Daddy Daughter Dance!

 Madi & her Daddy headed to the Daddy Daughter Dance Friday night.

She's adorable!  Thankfully, Ady and Aubyn's mom did her hair for the dance since I was flying home from a week in Tennessee Friday afternoon and evening.

 There was a donut and candy bar at the dance!  Madi was in heaven!

 A few friends took some action dance shots of these two and sent them to me!

 There was a silent auction at the dance as well.  They bid on a spa basket and a unicorn basket.  They ended up winning this fun unicorn basket.  And thankfully the money raised goes to her school!

I was sad that I couldn't be there to help get her ready, but it was a good way to spend the evening before I got home to see my two favorites!

Chattanooga, TN

 After church, lunch and a birthday party, I headed to Chattanooga, TN for the week.  

Madi made meatballs & rice with her Daddy.

 We gave a bag of squishies to our friend for her birthday so I decided to get the same bag of squishies to leave for Madi each day that I'm gone.  She loved opening 3 squishes each morning and evening during the week.

 Matt showed me the STAAR breakfast list Madi left for him.  Good thing she wanted a good breakfast before taking the writing test!

 In Chattanooga, we found a cute little diner with amazing desserts.  The carrot and lemon cheesecake were the best!
