Where's Madi?

Somebody loves when Mommy goes on a cleaning spree!
Because she finds fun things like Daddy's old crazy hat to play with.
She sure keeps life interesting!

Cookie Monsters

Part of Matt's Father's Day gifts were a cookie dough scoop and all the ingredients for Monster Cookies, his favorite. This way he could make a batch then freeze perfectly sized cookie dough balls to make later. Freshly baked cookies are so much better!
But for some reason Madi switches the order of the words and calls them "Cookie Monsters" so that's what they'll be from now on, I'm sure!
They had so much fun making, baking and freezing all the cookies!

Celebrating Miss Macy's Soon-to-be Arrival!

We had a baby shower for Shelle last Saturday morning.
The decorations are adorable and most can be used in the nursery or are things like bows/headbands for the Miss Macy to wear. Very clever!
The food and punch were yummy and Shelle got so many cute outfits for Macy to wear.
Last Belly Shot!
Here are few adorable outfits . . .

Our cousin Klay's wife Deborah made a cute diaper cake as her gift. I wish I had half this talent!
Shelle & Deborah
She's also pretty stockpiled with diapers, wipes and formula.
All we're waiting on is Miss Macy to make her debut!

Tripp & Tuck

Tripp and Tucker stayed the night with us last weekend.

We broke out the Rockband after going to the park.
You can tell how long it's been since we played by all the dust on those drums!
Everyone took turns playing each instrument. Tucker singing was by far the most entertaining. He'd jump around like the singers on stage do. Too funny!
Then it was time to play out back since it had cooled down a bit. Poor Tuck somehow got on the bottom of this mosh pit!
Look at the static in her hair!
By far, my most FAVORITE pic of the night!
Tripp loves to climb.
Waiting to slide.
Then it was popsicle time! Tripp LOVES Uncle Matt's popsicles.
Bathtime, storytime and then bedtime followed!

Babysittin'

Madi had her first real babysitter on Sunday evening.
Kennedy came over and watched Madi while Matt and I went out to dinner for Father's Day.
It was Kennedy's first time babysitting as well and it went great.
She is so good with Madi at the pool everyday so we knew she'd be wonderful to babysit.
We had a great time and didn't have to worry one bit while we were gone.

4th Degree Black Belt

Saturday, we went to my cousin Klay's ceremony where he received his 4th degree black belt.

Klay, his wife Deborah, and Carlos Machado
The adorable cake Deborah had made for Klay.
Carlos broke open the shadow box that held his own 4th degree black belt and gave it to Klay. It was a pretty special moment.
Congratulations Klay!
We are so proud of you.

Daddy's Day Celebrations!

My mom was in town for doctor appointments so we decided to celebrate Father's Day with them on Friday evening with dinner at Red Lobster.
I tried to get a picture of my dad with the grandkids but it took two tries to get everyone looking at me.

Saturday morning, the guys played golf then we had lunch at Shelle's house.
Tucker and Madi thought it was a great time to climb on Matt.
Then Madi gave her Daddy his gifts.
She made him a father's day card and a bookmark. She cut it out and decorated it.

Each year since Madi was born we've made him a mug with her hand prints on it.
She also helped pick out a golf shirt for her Dad.

Our final gift was a cookie dough scoop for Monster Cookies. We also got all the ingredients to make them since they're Daddy's favorite.
Happy Father's Day Matt! You're the best father Madison could ask for!

Ethan, Owen & Henry

We waited to tell Madi that Ethan, Owen and Henry were coming over til the day before.
Otherwise that's all we'd hear about til they walked through the door.
This was a complete surprise . . . Owen wearing Madi's dance costume!
Madi said "Me and Owen are beautiful" as Matt and Aunt Erin ran to get their phones to take a picture!
Henry is just adorable and he's at that age where he lets me take tons of pictures and actually smiles for me!
Out of order . . . . Playing outside in the sandbox.
Sweet Henry again!

We had such a great visit. I know Madi can't wait til her cousins come back again!

Before Church

We took a few pictures before church Sunday.
I love this cute summer outfit on Madi.
I about died laughing when she climbed on the pole and started swinging! Matt just said he hoped it didn't become a habit. Ha!
Since taking dance classes, her new pose is with one or two hands on her hips.

Again, trying to get a few more pictures with me actually in them.
There's only one word to describe this . . . precious!
(see the death grip I have on her below!)
The stare down! I think he was telling her to look at the camera and smile. I usually get one but not the other.
