Corn Maize, Festival & Halloween Party!

Monday was Sock it to Drugs day for Red Ribbon week!
So out came our crazy Halloween socks!
Tuesday was something along the lines of "Hats off to drugs!"
Well since Madi doesn't like hats she decided a tiara would work.
Someone's car is a little messed up after hitting our rock!
Had to send this picture to Matt!
Wednesday was wear Red day.  Not sure what the saying was exactly.
Madi's art hanging outside her classroom.
Great looking witch's feet and broom!
Thursday was boots off to drugs but Madi's class was going to the corn maize for a field trip so we wore our class field trip shirts.

 Super Second Squad is right!
We got there way early so we visited while waiting for the buses to pull up.
 All ready to go!
Learning all about corn, growing corn and products made from corn.
Heading into the maize . . .
Questions to answer along the way to help us escape.  Sure hope they listened to the lesson!
My view for the next hour and a half . . .
 Stuck in the maize!
 Finally found the look out!
 Then we reached the end!
She couldn't wait to ride in the caboose of the cow train through the field.
 Off they go!
Then they ate lunch outside and tried out the mini-maize!
The animals are always fun to see.
Then it was our turn for the hay ride!
Such a fun afternoon with my girl!

We stopped out in the field on our hay ride so the kids could pick a pumpkin off the vines to take home.
You were supposed to find a pumpkin you wanted then raise your hand for the farmer to come cut it off the vine.
 Perfect pumpkin!
  Class picture!
 Now with Mrs. Skoog!
As if the corn maize field trip wasn't enough fun we headed to Tucker's school for more Halloween fun.
 Cake walk fun!
 Photo op!
Tucker wanted one more picture . . .
Friday morning Madi wanted to do a little math until it was time to go to school . . . definitely our child!
 Archer Girl ready for school!

I went to a few meetings then headed to Madi's school for her Halloween party.
I worked the "pin the spider on the web" game and had a blast!

They made Monster goo, played musical chairs and had yummy snacks too!
Mrs. Skoog was telling the students to get ready to go to specials but Madi was super happy since she was leaving early with me.
Glad we are staying in tonight since we have many more festivities tomorrow!

Happy 37th Birthday!

Happy 37th birthday to this guy!
He loved his gifts but especially the salt gun so he can kill all the pesky flies!
Madi and I planned the morning of his birthday to go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast then she wanted to buy him a coffee from Starbucks since she has a gift card!
We were going to go to the driving range and hit balls but it was too windy and cold.
So these two spent the rest of the morning vacuuming up the acorns from the yard.
Madi kept entertained by all her birthday gifts too!
Saturday night we dropped Madi off at a birthday party from 6-9 and we headed out to celebrate Matt's birthday.
Chuy's for dinner and then we strolled through Barnes & Noble.
Having Uncle Jacob visit for Matt's birthday weekend made it even more special.
We grilled out ribs one night and went for bbq the other.
Then we popped popcorn and had a family movie night watching Home since they hadn't seen it before.
Can't wait to celebrate these two in March!

Finally feels like FALL!

 Monday
Breaking out all the new birthday gifts sure has kept this girl busy!
 Tuesday
She's on the second platform from the bottom.
Her diving is getting better and better!

I'm not sure why this picture turned out completely blurry but I wanted to remember coming home to a gift from her friend Riley on our porch.  Riley missed her party but wanted to get her a gift.
Maci's logic cracks me up.  :)

Matt took Friday off so Madi snagged him as a lunch date real quick!
I snagged him for an afternoon of shopping and running errands!
