One Last Week of FUN!

Last Tuesday, we met Shelle and the kids, plus the Daniels at Texas Water Rampage for a day of fun!

Madi sees the big slides every time we drive down Milwaukee and asks to go there.
 Well we finally did!
The kids ran from ride to ride and Shay and I floated on the lazy river for almost the whole time.
 Wednesday was movie day!

Then Tucker came with us to swim and to spend the night.  He thoroughly enjoyed watching Madi at swim practice.  :)
Thursday morning they woke up super early to go to Kids Day Out Thursday at church.
They talked and talked about all the rides they were going to do at Joyland!
After picking them up from Joyland, we met at Menchie's for a fro-yo treat.
Maci is jumping off the diving board and swimming all by herself now so we had to celebrate.
Friday morning - this was my errand partner before heading to the pool!
These memories on Facebook get me every time!
A picture to commemorate my last day of summer!
Thankfully, even though I'm back to work on Monday I'll still be here at the pool many afternoons until school starts!

Roswell, Sewing & More!

We made a quick trip to Roswell Saturday morning to help Aunt Erin and Uncle Cody settle into their new house.  After all the hard work, we cooled off at their pool then visited at Grandma and Grandpa Heider's house.
I heard it took some coaxing but Madison finally went across the ropes!

Not too sure what these two were up to but they sure are fun to watch!

I had already planned a few weeks back to get my Aunt Bev's old sewing machine out of our attic for Madi to start learning when all of the sudden Sunday afternoon Madi asks for my needle and thread so she can make a blanket for her doll.
 She pieced it all together.
As Matt was getting the buckets out of the attic this happened . . .
Thankfully Madi and I were INCHES out of the way and Matt was able to pull himself up from a hanging position.  Needless to say the ladder wasn't installed properly.

We used the shelf in the guest room closet to make a sewing area for Madison.  She can work when she wants to and then shut the doors!
Her doll had a nice blanket to enjoy at bedtime.
The Culligan man had to come by Monday morning so she requested a part french-braid/part pony tail.  I need to keep practicing at this rate!
Then we ran to the bank and car wash before meeting Aunt Shelle and kids for lunch.
Not sure if this is normal or not but Madi loves to sit in the "way back" as she calls it anytime we go to the car wash.
After lunch all of us went to the library to pick out some good books.
Tripp was looking for a specific book so it was an educational visit too.  They figured out how to use the computer to find the location and then they had to figure out how to navigate the library shelves.
Successful afternoon!

Another FAST Summer Week!

 Look at my smile Mom!
Even though it's summertime you can still find us here three days a week!
We broke out the play-doh on Monday.
Madi was making ice cream for us!
She wanted to take a picture of me holding the ice cream she made for me.
She wanted her hair braided for the movie and pool on Wednesday.  Thank goodness we had time.
Tripp bought a cool electric boat to use in the pool.
We loved watching it go all around!
It was too fast for me to catch a good picture but the kids had fun!
Tucker spent Wednesday night with us.  We ate at Rosa's for dinner and played a game of Sorry! Tucker won!
Then bright and early Thursday morning I dropped these two off at church for Kids Day Out Thursday.  They went to Adrenaline City and then played on the water slide at church until time to be picked up.
Then Maci spent Thursday night with us since the boys went out of town with some friends.  That way Aunt Shelle and Uncle Cody to have a night with NO kids!  They played outside, popped popcorn and watched a movie with Matt and had fun playing dolls.
Friday morning Stephanie and her daughter Margaret came over to our house.  Steph and I worked a little while the girls played before we headed to the pool.
The weeks are going so fast but I think it's because we're packing them FULL of fun things!

Happy 65th Birthday on the LAKE!

We spent the day on Lake Alan Henry to celebrate Grandma Mayberry's 65th Birthday coming up!
Tripp got to show Grandma and Grandpa that he can drive the boat.

After the kids knee-boarded Matt took a few turns!
Another one!
Then the kids tried out the new tube!

Here are the kids tubing . . .

We definitely look rough but had a GREAT time!

Then I tried out the tube with the kiddos.  That turquoise on the left is me!
We anchored a bunch to swim and eat too!
It was a great day celebrating a great mom and grandma for 65 years!

Happy 65th Birthday Grandma!

Grandma Mayberry's 65th birthday is coming up on July 31st so we've planned a few ways to celebrate!
Our first celebration was a SURPRISE girls' only day on Saturday.
Grandma came to town but had no idea what we were going to do!
It was just us - Shelle, our mom and me!
They arrived at our house to a yummy breakfast then we headed to get pedicures!
Then we attempted a group picture (unsuccessfully!) at the Alamo Drafthouse where we saw a movie and enjoyed lunch.
 Much brighter outside!
  Our cute toes!
Then we went back to our house for Grandma's favorite cake and ice cream.  Carrot cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

We sang Happy Birthday and thankfully Madi was home so she could join in!
Then we were off to shopping for a little while before our painting class started!
None of us are artists but we had fun!
  Serious dedication . . .
 And a lot of laughter!
 Making progress . . .
We had such a good time but I was glad when it was over.  Painting stresses me out!
While we were out celebrating, these two had a Madi & Daddy day!
They first hit the golf course to hit some balls . . .

Then they saw the Minions movie that Madi has been wanting to see.
The Heider family had a great day celebrating and we're not even done yet!
