Alarm Clock & Quick Cousin Visit

Madi picked out an alarm clock when we were at Toys R Us last weekend and said she'd rather an alarm clock wake her up each morning instead of us.  :)
It lasted all week and she even woke up before her alarm went off one morning.  Then she decided it was too loud and doesn't want to use it anymore!
Monday

 Tuesday
 Wednesday
It was quite windy Thursday morning . . .
So we tried and tried . . .
 To get a good picture . . .
And then just gave up . . .
 And headed to school!
Friday morning, Matt took her to school since he had the day off.  He joined her for lunch too. She told us the other day that she'd like to go get ice cream on Fridays in the cafeteria but wanted one of us to go with her the first time.
I don't have all the details but it appears it went well and now she can get the occasional ice cream!
Matt said he didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings so he sat at Madi's class table instead of the special table for guests!  :)  I laughed so hard when he sent this picture to me!

Wednesday night, Madison picked this book to read to me before bed and then took it to school to read to her class.  Mrs. Olivarez said she could read it for their read-aloud on Friday.  She was very excited!
Saturday we had a quick visit from Ethan, Owen, Henry & Philip (Aunt Erin and Uncle Cody came along too!).
While they shopped we took all the kiddos to Maxey park!
It was pretty windy but they had a fun time.
We had lunch at Chick-fila and then they played at our house most of the afternoon.  It was a quick but SUPER fun visit!
Saturday night after the wind died down we headed out for a long walk around the neighborhood.
We caught up to our little duck couple out walking too.
We followed them for quite a while until they went into a yard with sprinklers on.
Before bed, Madison practiced folding her bandana like they do in music.
She said it's hard to do so she wanted to practice.
She asked to borrow my phone.
I wasn't really paying attention at first.
Then she told me to look through the pictures to see how to fold a bandana step by step.  :)

After church we had lunch at Villa and then did some shopping.
It was such a great weekend!

Easter Day 2014

Madi loves the play-doh ice cream machine she got from Grandma Mayberry for Easter!  I surprisingly do too.  It's not that messy.
 Easter Morning
Madi told us again this week that she doesn't want the Easter Bunny in her house so she wanted to write him a letter telling him to leave the eggs on the porch.
We forgot to write the letter so she asked if I could just call or text him.
Trying to stifle my laugh, I told her "sure thing."
Then we headed to Easter Service.

While Daddy put the burgers on the grill, Madison painted some Easter eggs.
Then after a great lunch we dyed some eggs.

Unfortunately, the stickers wouldn't stick after they dried, but she sure had fun!
We loved spending Easter Day with just our family of 3.
Perfect.

A Selfie, an Easter Egg Hunt & a Birthday Celebration!

 Monday
 Tuesday
On Tuesday afternoon, we had a special appointment.

We interviewed Coach Kingsbury for our Mentor Teacher Celebration later this month.
And also took some "selfies!"
On Wednesday, Matt sent me a picture of our pups cuddling up in the cold outside . . .
and of Miss Madi since he took her to school for me!
Thursday was hat day at school which we weren't going to participate in until Mrs. Olivarez told Madison that bunny ears were like a hat!
Love my work peeps - a surprise gift of spring on my desk when I arrived Thursday morning.
Matt and I raced to be at Madi's school by 3pm for their egg hunt.
 Madison & Maisen
Mrs. Olivarez had the class stretching so they'd be warmed up for the hunt!
 And they're off!
 Checking out all the goodies!
 Our sweet friend Adyson!
She was so excited about this bunny eraser in one of the eggs!
We headed home after the hunt and a package from Grandma and Grandpa was waiting for Madison in the mailbox.
Solid chocolate is what this girl loves!
Friday morning I worked a little then met Grandma Mayberry, Aunt Shelle, Tripp, Maci and Madi at Chili's for lunch.  Grandma wanted to let everyone pick out their own Easter gift so we went to Toys R Us.
Maci had us laughing!  She's definitely a little shopper.
After a wonderful afternoon nap, we met Daddy and Grandpa (after a round of golf) at 50th St. Caboose for Grandpa's 66th Birthday Celebration!
Kirk & Melanie and Klay, Deborah and their adorable 9 month old twin girls Kiran and Elora joined us too.  Then we all went back to our house for cake and ice cream!
We had so much fun with the babies!
 Cody & Matt acting silly!
 Happy Birthday Grandpa!
Madison got a zebra slap bracelet at 50th St. with all of her winning tickets.  I told her I had a slap bracelet from when I was little and they first came out.
She wanted to see it and wear it to breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa!
