 Friday after school, Madi and her friends walked down the street from the school to Happy's for a fun treat. 

All the moms met there to pick up the girls.  A fun way to start a 3 day weekend! 

Fun Times!

 Saturday morning was Youth time at Altitude! 

Madi had a blast with all her church friends. 

 Saturday afternoon we went over to help Grandma Mayberry as she is recovering from hip surgery.  Grandma had a sweet surprise for Madi for making Student Council. 

 A gift card to Happy's sure made this girl HAPPY!

 Saturday evening, we celebrated Ashlee's birthday at The Funky Door while the kids all stayed at the Foley's house. 

 Sunday after church and working out, we had over Madi's new friend Riley for cookie decorating . . . 

 And dog walking!  We enjoyed meeting Riley.  She just moved here from North Dakota. 

 Madi fooled me doing a trick from a Youtube video she saw . . . 

Super fun weekend! 

6th Grade Student Council!

 Back to school on Tuesday after a long weekend!

Madi played with her band at 3 elementary schools on Thursday. She said it was fun being back at Central Elementary as a 6th grader!

 Friday

We had appointments for professional head shots at work on Friday.  This is my team!  I sure miss Casey but I know she is cheering Alyson, Amy and me on! 

 I picked Madi up from school on Friday and heard good news!  She wrote an essay and was selected for Student Council! 

 We are SO proud of all of Madi's accomplishments! 

Madi has had quite the month - Student of the Month, Regionals in Science Fair and Student Council! 

A Little Bit of California Sunshine in Texas!

 We were so excited to pick up Devyn and her brother Jaxson at the airport Friday afternoon for a long weekend visit! 

Since their flight got in early, I was able to be at the school for the kids got out.  It was a sweet, sweet reunion!

 The girls stayed at Gracie's house Friday night.  

And while they enjoyed playing and eating at Whataburger, we met the Buxkempers, Foleys, Gibbs and Ellis' at The West Table for Raynie's birthday celebration. 

 Saturday was spent laughing, playing, getting in the hot tub and jumping at Altitude!  

 After church, I took them to Clay Cafe to get the creative juices flowing!

It sure was hard to see Devyn leave, but we know we will see her again soon! 

Science Fair Time!

Tuesday

 We turned Madi's Science Fair project in on Tuesday to be judged.  When I went to pick it up on Wednesday while she was at piano, I saw the first place ribbon and trophy indicating she was selected to go to regionals! 

It was neat to see her name posted on Lubbock Cooper's FB page as a 6th grade science fair finalist!

 We have a special visitor coming this weekend! We are so excited!

Pirate of the Month!

Madi got the letter last week that said she was selected as Pirate of the Month for 6th grade by her teachers. I don't go into her school much so I bribed her to have a friend take a picture of her by the sign. 

We are so proud of our Pirate of the Month! 

We thought cute new PJs were a great reward for doing so well in school and being selected as Pirate of the Month!

Saturday, we did the newest trapped room in Lubbock and escaped! 

 Then we grilled out at the Foleys for dinner.  The kids put together a trapped room down in their basement that was really good.  

 Sunday after church, Madi had Girl Scouts for the first time this semester.

It's almost Cookie Time!
