Cat in the Hat

Jessica and Allison came over to play Sunday afternoon after church and lunch.
They had a "fruit" snack outside on the patio!
 Monday
Madison's school pictures came in Monday afternoon too.  Pretty cute!
 Madi's Kindergarten Class
Tuesday morning Matt sent me this picture of Madi on her way to school.  I was on a plane to Dallas at 6am.
 Wednesday
Before I picked Madison up from school on Wednesday I stopped by Party City to look for anything "Cat in the Hat"-ish for her to wear on Friday.  The whole school is celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday so they are all planning on dressing up as a character.
 Thursday
 All dressed and ready . . .

We bought Maisen and Adyson the same headband so they were all twins!

After dropping Madi off at school I met Stephanie at the Woodhouse Day spa for a relaxing manicure.
This is how my day started . . .
sitting by the fire! I could get used to starting my weekend this way!

Short Week

Madison has been looking forward to Madison P.'s birthday party for a while now.
It was at Jump N Jungle just like her last party.  I'm glad it's so close to our house!
Sunday night we went to Rosa's for dinner.  Madi and I couldn't believe how the window made a perfect mirror.
Matt snapped this picture early Monday morning and sent it to me.  I guess the dogs kept coming into her room.  So Madi build a barrier.
 Monday
On the way to school, Madi said "these buttons are perfect Mommy!"  I took a picture and sent it to Grandma Heider since she picked out and sewed the new buttons on this past weekend.  Thanks Grandma!
 Tuesday
Tuesday evening Aunt Shelle brought over the cousins so I could help Tripp with some of his math corrections.  Of course, all of them wanted to ride the new dune buggy!
 Rosa's again for dinner!
 Wednesday
Madi as she's about to start her laps.
Jumping off the middle board at the end of practice.
 Thursday
Friday was a snow day for Cooper so Matt took the day off a while back.  I decided to surprise them both and stay home too.
First up was Cracker Barrel for breakfast and then Main Event for some Heider Family Bowling!
Step 1:  Get the shoes on!
 Done!
 Step 2:  Time to bowl!

Step 3:  The smile after you make a STRIKE!
 Family shot!
Then Matt and Madi went to pick up Tuck and Maci so they could spend the afternoon at our house.
Lunch outside on the patio while watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
They played and played all afternoon.
We took them all to Aunt Shelle's house this evening and then went to Abuelo's for date night!

Valentine's Week

Over the weekend, we found all of Madi's heart clothes or red and pink to wear on Valentine's Week.
Monday Morning
I printed out some Valentine maze, color page, etc. for Madi to do each morning.
 Tuesday
 Graphing Conversation Hearts
 Wednesday
Thursday she got a bunch of fun stickers so she can decorate EVERY piece of paper she can find.
Thursday - all ready for school!
Aunt Shelle sent a picture of Tripp after his second basketball game.  We can't wait to go see him since he shot a 2 and 3 pointer during this game!
Madi was pretty excited to fine a Valentine balloon waiting for her Friday morning.
This picture speaks for itself . . .
She also got beautiful roses, toothbrushes and a 1st grade math book.
All ready for Friday and her Valentine's Party!

Madison's cute artwork in the hallway outside her classroom . . .

 Ten things Madi loves . . .
Ready for the party to start!
Their drinks were ice cream with some type of punch and red Twizzlers as straws.  Too cute!

Grandma and Aunt Shelle surprised Madi by coming to her party!

Madi passed out all the boxes to her friends.  Mrs. Olivarez said she was her little helper but now we saw it first hand!
We had a quick dinner at Firehouse then did some shopping.  Fun, low-key Valentine's night.
But it ended in some light saber action!

Saturday morning Grandma and Grandpa Heider came to town.
We had a yummy breakfast at Cracker Barrel then we went to Toys 'R Us where Grandma and Grandpa bought this . . .

  She was SO excited!
Grandpa taught her all about it . . .
So she knew how to go forward, backwards, stop, etc.
Then she was off on her own!

 A little fun video!
Then we put the stickers on while the battery was charging.
Right away she said she can't wait to take her puppies for a ride!  I'm not so sure they will like it!
Since we have to let the battery charge over night she hopped on her bike to enjoy the beautiful afternoon.
It was the perfect Saturday to end Valentine's week!
