Thanksgiving Break

We started our Thanksgiving break with Thanksgiving dinner at church Sunday evening.
It was cold out when we headed home that this little one wanted her Daddy to carry her to the car.  :)
The youth at church also had a Turkey Bowl where all the kids played a game of flag football.  Thankfully, the weather was great!
I worked a little on Monday and Tuesday mornings since I was out last week.  Madi had Maisen over Sunday night and Monday during the day.  Tuesday afternoon, I took this one for a little Mom & Madi time.  We ran by Starbucks then to get her nails done.
We don't get her nails done very often so it's such a special treat!
She wanted Christmas nails!  Her daddy was so proud.  :)
Wednesday we headed to Jayton for Thanksgiving.  That night we grilled fajitas for dinner.  Matt was giving Tripp and his friend Cody a lesson on going to college to become a CPA.
Thursday morning, the rest of the family arrived - Grandma B, Grandma Mayberry, Grandpa Mayberry, Uncle Rod, and Cody's parents.  We brought the game Dixit and everyone LOVED playing it over and over.
I wanted to get a picture with my sweet nephews and niece!

Then we played Bean Boozled where you spin a spinner and eat a jelly bean that might be a good or gross flavor.  Poor Madi got the gross flavors every time!
Tucker and his gag reflex weren't sure about this game!

The kids' table had a fun table cloth to entertain them until dinner was ready.
 Lots of tic-tac-toe games happened!
I'm thankful for these two favorites every day of the year . . .

Tripp looked so handsome in his GQ sweater!
We headed home for some Black Friday shopping but then headed to Gail, TX to watch Tripp's playoff game in the fog.
Friday night lights in the fog!
Sadly, it wasn't the outcome we wanted but they had a great season!
We sure have packed a lot of fun into this Thanksgiving break!

Reading with Madi

Last Sunday afternoon, I made these two play Clue with me since I was going to be traveling for the whole week.
Monday - She had to take the napkins for her teacher's lunch that we signed up for.
 Tuesday
 Wednesday
Grandma picked Madi up on Wednesday and got a treat at Sonic before heading to piano.  She sent me this pic since I was missing my girl!
Thursday mornings is FCA so since I was out of town, Matt took Madi and Gracie to breakfast at Market St. and Starbucks!
We love Braum's so anytime I see one while traveling I have to tease Matt.  Unfortunately, I wasn't around during lunch time so I didn't get to stop.
 Friday
Friday morning was a time for parents to attend during their kids' ELAR period to read together.  We've done it once before so I was sad to miss.  Matt said he really got into her book, The Beast Within, as she was reading.
The inspection I was on was only 1.5 hours away so thankfully I was home in time to pick Madi up from school!

Tucker's 11th Birthday Party!

On the way out of church Sunday morning, Madi called shot gun!  I had to laugh since all her friends do this with her siblings and since she doesn't have any siblings she calls it with me.  :)
We grabbed Tucker's cakes from the bakery and off we went to Main Event to celebrate Tucker!

Madi loves to wear Tripp's hat every chance she gets!
We were taking a picture with the birthday boy and Uncle Matt was silly and cut the rest of us out at first!
Then we all got in the picture!
The birthday boy and his family!
They bowled a few games then had pizza!

Next, we sang this (soon to be) 11 year old Happy Birthday and opened presents!
It was great being able to celebrate with him!

Sunday School Christmas Party!

Yes, we had our Sunday School Christmas Party in mid-November to beat the holiday rush!
We all wore ugly Christmas sweaters but some people won the prize for sure!
A yummy taco place catered our meal and we brought white elephant gifts too.
Matt won this snazzy Texas Tech vest!
Serena loved the Christmas toilet seat covers I found at Target!
We all had so much fun that my cheeks hurt from laughing so hard.
I say it every year but it's true.  We are SO thankful to have such a great group of church friends to do life with each and every day.

Quick Week!

Tuesday, Madi wore the shirt she had made in California!
Wednesday, she wore the USC shirt that Devyn's dad gave her but it was cold so she has to wear a sherpa too!
Thursday, she was running out the door to FCA with shoes in hand!
 Friday
We were thankful for a quick week after all the traveling we've been doing!
