End of School Traditions!

We started a few end of year traditions when Madi was in Kindergarten.
They're easy and fun to see her grow!
I hope she loves to read her teachers' words from each year of school . . .

And I love to see how her handwriting changes over the years.
And surely this shirt is shrinking, because I sure hope my baby isn't growing up this fast!

Last Week of 5th Grade!

Sunday night, Madi joined the Foley's to celebrate Allison's birthday!  We appreciated it so we could be at the hospital with Uncle Rod.
Tripp was in the Sunday paper for Newcomer of the Year!

We are so proud of Tripp and the amazing year he and his team mates had!
 Monday
They did some fun face painting at school!
 Tuesday
Tuesday afternoon was Madi's awards ceremony.
Had to get a shot of her looking at us . . .
 Class picture!
So many awards for this smarty-party!
 Proud parents for sure!

Side braid into a bun?  Okay!
Wednesday - She took gifts to all her teachers to say thank you for a great year!
Wednesday was also the talent show.
Madi decided not to try out but to be an announcer of all the acts!

She brought home some of her art work - She's talented!
Thursday - Last day of 5th grade/elementary EVER!
Thursday morning they had a slideshow of all the 5th grade pictures throughout the year.
I didn't think I would be emotional about the ending of elementary school but the slideshow did make me tear up.
Then parents lined the hallways so the 5th graders could walk the halls one last time . . .

Then there were many tearful goodbyes outside the school . . .
 Madi loved Mr. Reep!
 Elly, Madi & Maisen
Devyn's mom showed me this from her memories.  It's of the girls in 2nd grade when they met.  Man time flies!
 Madi loved Mrs. Terry!
 Madi loved Mrs. Simmons!
Right after school we decided to go visit Uncle Rod in the hospital.  Madi's never been to a hospital so it was quite the experience - parking garage, skywalk, elevators, cafeteria, etc.
Uncle Rod enjoyed seeing Madi and beating us in a game of Uno!

She played perfectly!  It was a great performance.
