Corn Maize Field Trip!

Monday was going to be the only warm day of the week so we were glad the Corn Maize Field Trip was rescheduled for that day!
There were about 50 flies on the rope to our attic ladder.  I guess they knew the cold weather was coming and they were trying to get to a warm place.
I met all the little first graders out at the Corn Maize around 11am.
  Class picture!

Love how it looks like they're going super fast!
 They loved the train ride!

Then they looked at all the animals.

  Maisen, Sidney & Madison
Then we went on a hayride.
We all loved this picture!  I can see it on a senior year memory video!
They the hay ride stopped long enough for everyone to jump down and find a pumpkin!

They all found the perfect pumpkin!
It was too bright!  And windy!
The hay ride let us off at the school part of the maize.  They learned all about growing corn.
Then we set off into the maize.

Mrs. Hisey and Ms. Shuessler (student teacher) read the clues as we went through.
We made it to the end of the maize!
Got this from Madison P's mom.

Tuesday we bundled up for the cold weather!
Got a sweet pic of Maci painting!
Madi's favorite part of the week is tumbling day!

We went through all the hats, scarves and gloves later that night and of course we had to try some on.

 Wednesday

After school on Wednesday Madi said she wanted warm soup for dinner.  We already had corn chowder for us but Madi's sweet Daddy grabbed her McAlister's broccoli & cheddar soup on his way home.
Thursday was cold and windy so this picture turned out blurry.
Our first stop of the day on Thursday was a dentist appointment for me and Madi.  Luckily, they had a nice fire going when we got there.
The chair has a massage part in it so I almost fell asleep!
Treasure chest time!  She did great!
Friday morning Matt goes to bible study so it's just us girls for breakfast.
Chicke wanted some loving!
  Thank goodness it's Friday!
Madi's school had Thanksgiving lunch so I took Maisen and Madi some Chick-fila for lunch.
We are ready to celebrate Tucker's 6th birthday this weekend!
